LWIN LEE | Dim Sum Buffet @ Royal Gourmet, Hotel Premiere Klang

Comes weekend, one must be looking forward to a relaxing day to unwind his weary soul. What could be the best agenda to kick off the lazy day for a foodie other than surrounding himself (or herself) with yummies around?  ^_^

Guess the tummy is in for a treat this month as Hotel Premiere Klang is offering a delish array of Dim Sum Buffet spread (Pork-free) during the weekend to warm your tummy with hearty selection of repast. This fab feast comes at MYR 58, but currently Royal Gourmet has thrown a tempting promotion at 50 % off for this Eat-All-You-Can Dim Sum Buffet, but only for a limited time. So let’s check out what are the relish that has amused our taste buds delightfully.

Illuminated in a cozy and swanky banquet atmosphere, a plethora of Oriental morsels are seen beckoning for your tastebud’s attention.

Fried and steamed dim sum, alongside with savoury dishes are nicely arranged at the al fresco area, whereby the tantalizing desserts ad fruits are handsomely decked out at the interior of the air-conditioned restaurant.

Gleefully presented are the varieties of sweet nosh, namely ……….....

Lemongrass Jelly (an acquired taste to some, but it tastes good for me, leaving trails of clean and refreshing aftertaste)

Chilled Snow Skin Strawberry Dumpling,

Chilled Snow Skin Sweet Corn Dumpling and Chilled Snow Skin Dumpling in Gold Fish Shape,

My so-called “Three musketeers”; Herbal Jelly, Mango Pudding and Chilled Chrysanthemum Pudding are all up for a friendly match to compete for your vote in giving you the light and refreshful finishing.

Mango Pudding

My personal pick for crème de la crème of them all,  Chilled Chrysanthemum Pudding, which puts up a tough competitor to the usual Osmanthus Jelly. Good job!

..................... and some candied sea coconut condiment to be paired with Herbal Jelly for a sweeter companion.

But let’s not get the dessert session started too early. Hence, lets join the visual feast for now of what you can expect from their freshly prepared dim sum and served piping hot from the kitchen itself.

Siew Mai Dumpling
~ Minced chicken meat filling of the ‘siew mai’ is meticulously prepared to create that unique meaty taste that indefinitely amazes you pleasingly.

Steamed Shark Fin’s Dumpling, BBQ Chicken Bun and Baked BBQ Chicken Puff.

Sweetened Mochi
~ Am one person who don’t really fancy mocha much, but this petite bite proves to be good actually : )

Crispy Shanghai Pancake
~ A not-so-common pastry to be easily found  elsewhere, due to the time effort and skill in producing it. Crispy and a tasty filling of lotus paste in between the thin phyllo-like pastry skin.

Egg Tart

And my all-time favourite, Egg Yolk Custard Bun! ♥♥

Steamed Japanese Crab Stick Roll in Superior Sauce
~ Bountiful meat enriched with flavoursome gravy.

Flour Roll with BBQ Chicken
~ Sharing close resemblance with Hong Kong style Chee Cheong Fun, this bite-sized plate is decently satisfying with its mild sweet sapidity marinated chicken meat. Best eaten when served warm.

Porridge with Century Egg and Minced Meat.
Comfy food; congee with fragrant scallions and aces of tender chicken meat. Just love the flavorful  and smooth jook texture seriously!

Fresh Prawn Crystal Dumpling

Steamed Minced Meat Vegetable Dumpling

Hong Kong Barbeque poultry, with the duck variety being the star-stealer with its crispy skin on the outside while remaining tender within.

Crispy Roast Duck with Chinese Herbs

Crispy Skin Roasted Chicken

Stewed Chicken

Wok Fried Radish Cake

Penang Char Koay Teow

As for the Deep Fried Dim Sum selection, we have Crispy Fried Wanton, Deep Fried Japanese Crab Stick, Sesame Balls, Deep Fried Golden Crispy Spring Roll, Deep Fried Crispy, Cheese Dumpling, Deep Fried Crispy Prawn Roll and Yam Dumpling.

Deep Fried Glutinous Rice Balls with Lotus Paste
~ Crispy and aromatic, without being too oily

A choice of a hot and cold dessert to complete your Oriental feast.

Double-boiled Lily Bulb with Snow Fungus and Lotus Seed

Honeydew Sago

  6. You made me hungry with all of your photos! Seriously, I never say no to a dimsum buffet. I'm somehow getting my fill since there is a dimsum restaurant near us that has a cart that goes around and you take whatever you want to eat from the roving carts. But this place HANDS DOWN beat my neighborhood place!
