LWIN LEE | The Art of Happy Living Exhibition @ The Stage, by Vince Low
Through many of the general
glasses, art exhibition may be perceived as an ordinary expo featuring
masterpieces from various artists. But to some, they aren’t merely simple
pieces of drawings that actually go beyond the two-dimensional expression utterly.
Sounds too mainstream perhaps, but in fact really goes long way skin deep.
“It’s always a
challenge to capture the soul and character of any person. But this unique
style of ‘scribbling’ coupled with the artist chosen, allows me to craft his
skill to a whole new level.”
~ Vince Low
True enough, one ought
to adopt a whole new perception when it comes to appreciating paintings profoundly,
in this case, the art of scribbling! ( =
BRIEF NOTE OF THE ARTIST
Vince Low, who hails
from Kuala Lumpur, is an Illustration graduate of The One Academy and is
famously known for its unique form of art technique; scribbling. He is currently the Head of Illustration by profession with numerous awards already
under his belt. His passion for this complex crafting yet with great chasteness,
has led him to his maiden exhibition in Singapore. Through his art, various
meanings are encompassed in such a way that the feelings of chaos and disarray
from the scribbling are being depicted thru the different directions and
mannerism used. Despite the fact that scribbling is often deemed as chaotic and
aimless with nothing solid about it, Vince believes in its nature’s fluidity
which helps to create potential to seek the beauty within the pandemonium.
I personally find it
very interesting and worth sharing with like-minded souls. During his recent
project of “Faces Series” held at WOLO’s The Stage, various emotions are being
portrayed via his impressive scribble sketches of different famous artists and
icons. Certain intensity of emotions is being upheld to strike a balance with
the happy and positive tone on the other side. Hence, below are the many
wonderful portraits that are snapped for the pleasure of viewing as well as
creating awareness of this unparalleled yet intriguing art.
Can you feel emote the
same way Charlie Chaplin ? ^_^
As Vince once advocated
“There is beauty in the chaos of every person’s mind, be it normal or
otherwise, we just need time to discover it”.
Even the interior decor is pretty impressive too, vibrantly vintage!
Hope this
one-of-its-kind showcase has enlightened you in some way with the vigorous portraiture
of raw and molecular-nature representation that symbolizes struggle and triumph
for the respective drawings.
“Simplicity is
the name & scribbling is the game.”
~ Vince Low
