LWIN LEE | Chinese Tong Shui/ Desserts & Noodles @ Bukit Anggerik, Cheras

Honestly, i have thinking how to best share out this particular stall, which bears no specific shop name but is located in the vicinity oh Taman Anggerik Market. I suppose the nearest landmark would be the Restaurant A1, which happens to share the same row of premises, slightly opposite Toto shop across the street or just next to a sundry shop selling coconut milk ( =

Although this stall is humbly set up, it still garners throng of its loyal diners especially those staying nearby as well as attracted the attention of folks as far as from Petaling Jaya. Its home-style dishes are interestingly pleasant-tasting with choice ranges from home-boiled desserts to Wan Tan Noodle as well as Curry Mee, where diners get to decide on which type of noodles to go along with their preferred cookery of the day.

Dried Bean Curd Cubes a.k.a "Tau Fu Pok" seems to be floating freely and appetizingly in the red pot of curry, that unleashes light yet flavourful broth upon encounter with your gustation, or........ you could choose to have the dry version of noodle, where you get to pair your plate of noodle in dark soy sauce with Braised Chicken Feet.

The fact that this shop is operated by a lovely elderly couple, conjures up the nostalgic memories of my late grandma, who is a natural-born chef that always cooks the best dishes, second to none, albeit she is a vegetarian :) It therefore also naturally reminds me of the homey fares that are prepared by my beloved mom at home, so toothsome and satisfying.

Even the Roasted Pork a.k.a "Char Siew", is also homemade and very well marinated too.

Clear Soup Wan Tan Noodle

Wan Tan Noodle (Kon Lo Mee)

Love the tender and juicy Char Siew, with bountiful bites of wrapped meat too; "Wan Tan". There are also Dumpling Soup available too upon ala carte ordering.

Curry Noodle

The most anticipating moment has come............

Red Bean as Dessert of The Day

..............or you could choose to have Black Sesame dessert !

With some coconut milk to smoothen up the texture............... (=

I have no qualms about their delish recipe, simple yet authentically scrumptious that i don't mind to be back for more. Love the fresh and homemade ingredients used as well as palatable country-style Chinese "tong shui", which is quite rare nowadays.

The restaurant open daily on weekdays and enjoy its much deserved rest during the weekend. People usually start to pour in for dinner as the shop only opens up at late evening. I have always love these comfort food which i have been savoring at the same place for the past 3 years ago, whenever i find time to brave through the traffic from KL town :)

Thanks to the cool uncle and genially hardworking auntie, for the lovely dishes that have indefinitely warmed up the cockles of my heart.

Cheers!!
