LWIN LEE | LITTLE COLLINS BAKERY & FLORIST @ MONT KIARA
It was one anticipating Friday as I was on a leisure half
day leave from the desk for the first time, purposely taken just to make way
for hair stylist appointment. Reason being was, the salon was fully booked
prior to Chinese New Year celebration, dang…….. But thank god, there are still
several days from last year to be cleared, so kinda grateful for that, hehe.
As we reached Mont Kiara much earlier, thanks to the smooth
traffic , we decided to walk around to check out if there are some new café or
eatery that is appealing to both visual and taste (maybe) senses (=
After several walkabout on a windy afternoon, we finally
ended up at a cutesy café-cum-bakery-and-florist, by Little Collins.
Some artistic and adorable products are exhibited at the
see-through glass, near its entrance. Pretty cool huh?
HUGE muffin!! I wonder how many people are needed to handle such portion (Ɔ ˘⌣˘)♥( |
We tried out the recommended mains since we undecided what’s
best to go for. And the owner double up our treat with their weekday set lunch that
comes with complimentary iced lemon tea and also mini tart (though slightly
pass the hour). Isn’t it a double delight? That’s so nice of her . Am pretty
sure my foodie friend was thrilled, for being such a huge sweet tooth fan all
this while- her eyes were already glowing the moment lemon meringue tart was
mentioned (=
**Weekday set lunch is available from 12pm – 2pm
Well-said |
CHEDDAR CHICKEN (MYR
22)
Nicely done fried breaded chicken thigh served with red
sauce, cheddar cheese and apple coleslaw. Chicken meat was flavorful and tender
but the fries were lacking some spice. Would be good if it’s crispier or slightly
sprinkled with more salt.
SPICY SEAFOOD OLIO
PASTA (MYR 22)
Initially I don’t have much excitement over olio pasta for
it’s quite common nowadays and available almost everywhere. But the moment its
aroma wafted through the air and reach our senses as it arrived our table, the
earlier thought kinda got shaken up with curiosity.
Comes with buttered
toasties, the spaghetti was done al dente, rendering the pleasant
springiness to be paired with the saporous
chewy seafood. The pasta was rather bland by itself, but cleverly
complemented by the tasty and intensely flavourful prawns. I don’t know why but
the whole thing that is the most memorable was the smoky sautéed prawns. It
also came with mild spiciness which helped to enliven the whole plate overall.
Thumbs up!
And soon, time to fix the sweet tooth craving and to clear
the throat with some chilling lemon tea.
That pretty summed up the noon before heading to the salon-
on a pre-V day! Lolz……
Coming up next would be another dessert treat at Caffe Bene
that made it as our late dinner spot, after 4 hours at the salon in prep for
the upcoming Chinese New Year. New Year
New Hairstyle? Hehe………..
Cheers for now and Carpe Diem! ❤ℒℴѵℯ❤
