It’s definitely an elated delectation seeing
more and more Korean restaurants flourishing around the briskish KlangValley
day by day. Me for one, are an ardent fan of hanguk eumshik, relishing in all its scrumptious offerings from
banchan, jigae, ramyeon, kuksu, bibimbap to snacks and grilled items like
tteokbokki, gimbap, grilled goguma, jjimdak, samgyetang, samgyeopsal and the
list still goes on……
Am truly thrilled and delightful once i learnt that Carpe Diem has just graced the heritage architecture of Empire Damansara, making it much more tempting for me to drop by. Thanks to a foodie friend who on one fine day, buzz me over my 'new cafe'- it so happens that my blog also shares the same brand name coincidentally, haha.
Its interior boasts a very conducive ambiance that tends to ignite your senses effortlessly.
Barely nearly 3 months in operation now, Carpe Diem has been receiving encouraging response from all patrons near and afar, as it is pork-free and do not serve beer nor wine. And all the dainty and miniature knickknackery are just so visually captivating.
Generally,
Korean cuisines are known to be healthier especially with the quintessential jewel-Kimchi,
which imparts essential nutrition as well as natural youth elixir.
But for now, let’s take a quick tour of what
Carpe Diem could offer to you.

SWEET
POTATO PIZZA (M)- MYR 15.90, (L)- MYR 21.90
A refreshing Korean twist to this popular Italian
specialty- Goguma Pizza! Made of thin crust and generously topped with mini
cubes of sweet potato, it is made more luscious with melted Mozarella cheese
along with pulpy and juicy sweet corns.
KOREAN
SPECIAL PIZZA & RICE BALL (S)-MYR 19.90, (M)-MYR28.90, (L)- MYR37.90)
This a.k.a Claypot Chicken Pizza is baked
with succulent and juicy chicken laces of meat, mozzarella cheese, mushroom, onion
and tteokbokki for extra chewiness.
Best paired with the cutesy rounded rice ball garnished with some black sesame.
Can’t really have enough of them! It’s just so mouthewatering especially with the melted strings of cheese!
BIBIMBAP

Reflecting the lively culture of Korea, this
staple dish greets the patrons with its vibrant and colorful ingredients, all
in all makes a hearty and wholesome fare that is good to go anytime. It’s an
evergreen dish too, loved by everyone by all walks of life.
SAMGYETANG
MYR 31.90
A signature of the Korean delicacy known for improving
blood circulation and overall body health, this dish is best enjoyed when
served piping hot. The whole tender chicken is stuffed with assorted herbs that
includes ginseng as well as salubrious Korean glutinous rice.
BLUEBERRY
