LWIN LEE | MARUFUKU UDON @ JAYA ONE

Crowd’s favourite yummy Japanese street food as well as classic meal are now made much more affordable at Marufuku Udon, located strategically at Jaya One, Petaling Jaya.

Marufuku is said to be the first Japanese casual dining concept in Malaysia that differentiate themselves with their freshly inhouse made udon and also serving the Izakaya style dinner menu for foodies chilling out at night. Having previously visited its other proprietorial enterprises namely Sanuki Udon, Maruhi Sakaba Yakitori and Lao Jiu Lo, am looking forward to try out the rest of the menu here especially after receiving constant approval from a friend who is also a frequent patron over there for its curry rice (=

Alright, let’s see what are the choices that we have here.

Fancy some fried battered seafood? Here you go, to be paired with your homemade udon.

TEMPURA SEAFOOD NABE MYR 12
Tempura ebi, fish, fried tofu, shitake mushroom and egg

Its classic udon with silky texture. Can’t help but reminds me of my slurpy noodles back at Sanuki Udon (=

HOUSE SPECIAL SPIDER MYR 12
House special with tempura soft shell crab and onsen egg

If you fancy some side dishes, you can add on from……..

CHICKEN KATSU MYR 4
Tender meat lightly encapsulated within the crispy bread crumb layer.

CHICKEN KARAAGE MYR 4
Juicy lill’ cutlet but hugely satisying

SALT AND PEPPER OCTOPUS MYR 6
Makes a delightful bite-sized nosh, yum!

Perhaps it’s time to call for some drink to clear the throat.

ICE LIME JUICE MYR 4
Perfect thirst-quencher that my foodie friend never failed to order one whenever dropping by

HOUSE SAKE HOT MYR 15
Ah, the signature and quintessential drink of our Japanese folks. You could opt to have it either hot or cold

UMESHU WATER MYR 15
And my fave pick goes to this fruity taste of Umeshu, that boasts a subtle fragrance of pear aroma.

Wait, what is missing now? Dessert I heard? No way the meal gonna be complete without it (=

DANGO RED BEAN WITH GREEN TEA ICE CREAM MYR 5
Japanese mocha with red bean and my favourite matcha ice cream. Simply comforting

WAFFLE WITH GREEN TEA ICE CREAM MYR 6
Or may be some freshly made waffle to go along with your preferred ice cream flavours, and in my case, matcha scoop as always (=

Overall, food is delectably and freshly served, coupled with helpful service rendered by the crew. Environment is cozy and well-ventilated, suitable for both casual hang out with a friend or two, and also indulging in a scrumptious dinner with families or loved ones without burning a hole in the pocket. The café might get too crowded during the weekdays, so perhaps you could check it out during the weekends for a more unlaxing moment.

Cheers for now and Carpe Diem!  ❤ℒℴѵℯ❤
