H GALLERY CAFÉ @ SUNWAY NEXIS, KOTA DAMANSARA





Thinking it‘s just another average café where you usually chew the fat with your companion over coffee and dessert? Then you would be surprised to learn that this vivid eatery has more to offer than just the cliché notion.





The striking yellow chroma used by of H Gallery Café, surprisingly fluxes in well and tames the bold black emblazon that together coalesces euphorically to exude the blithesome atmosphere whenever dining here.





Open in last Nov, just barely 2 months’ old but this quaint cafe had already seen encouraging returning customers with some regulars as seen on weekly basis. That’s literally very impressive for a new establishment to be making such impact. The kitchen is helmed by Chef Jasman Tajuddin who is of Baba Nyonya, Peranakan and Thai descendent, strives to deliver one-of-its-kind fusion cuisine to titillate the discerning taste buds of yours. So guests can expect a fête of flavourful recipes from multi-cultural Chef Jasman that are cleverly twisted to amuse you tastefully. Do you know that Chef Jasman also makes all his sauces for his recipes? That’s must be really time consuming but it’s worth it where seeing the satisfying smile drawn on each patrons.






Alright, what does the letter ‘H’ here actually signifies?
It is simply the genuine effort and comfort feeling of being at home, harmony and the childrens’ name of the owner, who wish to makes every customers feels at home whenever dining here. Only the freshest and quality products are sourced to prepare tantalizing plates which are suitable for all walks of life such as healthy drinks, homemade breakfast, soup, salads, seafood galore treat and many more! But first, let’s sooth the tummy with some wholesome and hearty signature blends of H Gallery Café, shall we? (=





MORNING GLORY (MYR 15)
As it mirthful names suggests, this is definitely a healthy choice especially in the morning using blended mixture of yogurt, wild mint, berries and muesli. I like the fact that it is not too sweet but done with just the right proportion of each ingredients, unlike the usual overly saccharine and creamy smoothies tried elsewhere.




STRAWBERRY BANANA YOGURT (MYR 15)
Equally fruity concocted beverage is this lovely pinky drink that infused with mint, muesli and banana as well for extra boost! Foodie who loves strawberries would certainly delight in this, but I personally would go for the former one- dainty blueberries!




What about some nosh of moules marinières?

BLUE MUSSEL FROM CHILLEAN (MYR 29)
Available in Spicy Tomato and also Herb Butter homemade sauce, comes together with soft bread.




For the sweet savory with mild spiciness, you can try out the former flavor, else those of garlicky tang preference won’t go wrong with latter selection as both servings greet you with juicy and springy bites of blue mussels. You’ll tend to get hooked on them as the shells are really, really fresh!





As for pasta buff who is also a fan of soft shell crab, this dish is highly recommended.

PIMIENTO ROJO SEAFOOD SPAGHETTI (MYR 39)
Pasta cooked with homemade red pepper sauce, stirred with grilled juicy prawns and soft shell crab.




Love the slurpy pasta that is done al dente, each strands is yummily covered with the amazingly captivating red pepper sauce that at first glance, might trick you into thinking that it’s of curry base, hehe. The orangey gravy is very robust in taste, actually not too spicy but ful of aroma that even the faint tongues like me could handle it pretty well, and finds it truly mouthwatering. Also a case of numerous helpings after the first tasting, hehe.




As for the newly introduced menu which is also a highly commended creation, is this oceanic platter that surely will make seafood lover smiles from mouth to ear.

PROSPERITY SEAFOOD PLATTER WITH SPECIAL H SAUCE (MYR 199- 4 pax, MYR 109- 2 pax)
Luscious regales of blue mussel, tiger prawns, squid, flower crabs, slipper lobster (seasonal) broccoli, cauliflower and sweet corn in black pepper sauce.




This splendid dish, albeit terrifically crafted, might be tad too hot to certain people as it draws lots of the sensuous aroma from the fragrant black pepper. It could be heavily influenced by the more colorful, ethnical taste from Chef Jasman’s unique heritage. Even so, I couldn’t stop myself from drawing towards it more and more, hehe. There’s an option to enjoy the tasty sauce with either baguette or rice, the usual way where our Chinese folks love to enjoy like those of Spicy Chili Crabs (=

This seafood platter needs advance booking which can be made via (+6012- 6461 300) to Ms Clara or Khairul. And in conjunction with CNY and February promotion, this menu will come with free 4 soups and peach teas for each diners from 5pm – 10pm. Be fast as it is only limited to 300 sets, so hurry up!




Besides that, H Gallery Café also caters for any private functions and even customizes it to suits your theme. Did I mention that the upper floor houses a rather impressive ambience which also comfortably accommodate up to 50 pax?
