FOOD FACTORY @ @ FIRST WORLD HOTEL, RESORTS WORLD GENTING, MALAYSIA
First greeted the public last month on 7 February, Food Factory offers a hearty array of breakfast selections that gonna comfortably tantalize your taste bud without jeopardizing the wallet.
The restaurant serves a delightful range of breakfast offering from 4 different counters, ie: West Asian, East Asian, Western and Pastry from 6am to 11am daily at only MYR 29 nett (adult) and MYR 14.50 (child).
Food at this outlet are processed in large quantities by using pans to various ranges of automated machines in order to cater from small to larger group of diners such as M.I.C.E.
Living up to its theme as a food factory, the kitchen utilizes 3 main huge machineries, specially brought in from US and Hong Kong. Now you must be wondering what these giant machines are doing in the kitchen right? Do not be surprised if you learn that your fried rice is dished up by machines and not the ubiquitous man power who merely just pour in the relevant ingredients in this case…… eyebrow raised? And am not pulling your leg seriously, hehe.
Basically these 3 huge robotic helpers are stationed for pancakes stations, rice and noodles, before the final one is placed at the bakeries section for purpose of baking pizza solely.
That gorgeous Hong Kong at one point of time, does remind me of those atomic equipment because of its metallic resemblance, haha.
Pizza dough is made using Italian flour for classic recipe, before spreaded with assorted ingredients such as fresh tomato purees, button mushrooms and cheese. Vegetarian pizza is also available too.
Among other choices offered are varieties if freshly Baked Breads and local buns, Danishes, Pancakes, Cereals, Nasi Lemak, Idli, Dhokla, Putu Mayam, Pita Bread, Paratha, Congee and Condiments, Assorted Pau, Juice, Coffee and Tea.
Pizza lovers will also enjoy freshly baked pizza from the large pizza conveyor such as Pizza with Tomato Sauce and Cheese and Vegetarian Pizza with Mushroom.
Pizza baking would take up approximately 8 minutes per tray, while the cute pancake machines simply requires 1 minute to produce 6 pieces of fluffy, soft pancakes at one time, using the conveyer belt, which also without any manual scooping of batter. Pretty convenient huh?
At East Asian Counter, you may find local delicacies served in bain marie such as Fish Ball Noodle Soup or Curry Noodle Soup, Fried Carrot with XO Sauce, Grilled or Deep Fried yam Roll, Deep Fried Cheese Roll or Chee Cheong Fun, Fried Loh See Fun, Fried Yee Mee, Chinese Soup and Dim Sum too.
Although without the chef cooking and tossing the rice rendering some ‘wok hei’ is missing, it still tastes pleasantly toothsome with the companion of various ingredients that are added bounteously. It you’re not too a fussy person, it still makes a delightful plate. And don’t forget to try out the Fried Radish Cakes too, yummmm………
At West Asian Counter, wide varieties of local cuisines such as assorted Malay and Nyonya kuih, Nasi Lemak with condiments, Potatoes Samosa, Vegetables Pakoras, Tandoori Chicken, Fish Head Curry, Ayam Masak Merah, Chicken and Lamb Skewer to Roti Jala or Grill Seafood.
For light snackers, you may also want to enjoy some finger food such as Margherita Pizza, Chicken Ham Pizza, Toasted Bread with Kaya and Butter or even Fried Banana or Sweet Potatoes.
All pastries are freshly baked in house, under the helm of Chef Murugan with his team of skillful mates in delivering only the best feast to help kick start your day scrumptiously.
In conjunction with this upcoming March school holiday, Hi Tea Buffet is now available from 12th to 20th March, 26th and 27th March at MYR38 nett (Adult) and MYR10 nett (Child), guests get to enjoy so much for so little.
