DCOVA @ LOGAN HERITAGE, BISHOP STREET, PENANG
After the Korean Bingsu date with Teddy the night
before at Hana Café, 하나카페now we are back
to something somewhat more familiar to us for the conventional café hoppers. So
here we are, Dcova Café located under
the mighty roof of majestic Logan Heritage, standing firmly along Bishop Street
in Penang.
Undeniably, the astounding
built and Victorian architecture first captured my attention, especially that
spherical arch roof bearing DCOVA on the top.
The café interior is
also beautifully adorned with light pastel chromes, dangling light bulbs to add
some warm ambiance, subtly highlighted by many ocean-inspired paintings
liberally hanging on the side wall where the stairs leading up to the upper
floor.
Simple floral and understatedly
design but suffice to provide you that cozy shelter for you to rest awhile and refresh
up over some lights bites of grubs and drinks.
GULA
MELAKA CHEESECAKE (MYR 11.90)
Smooth and wobbly palm
sugar-infused custard on the top layer, light and not too rich. However, I prefer
it to be creamier for that engaging indulgence, just personal preference (=
Then soothe down the
throat with some aromatic brew, before heading to the dinner celebrations of
two April Birthday babies 3 hours later.
FLAT
WHITE (MYR 9)
Mr. Cool seems to be enjoying his cuppa, which is good or else, am in hot soup (=
PICCOLO
LATTE (MYR 7.90)
Unruffledly got caffeine-spiked
by this dainty demitasse (=
By décor, it’s really a nice café gateaux pates at the neighbourhood where you could easily bask in sensuously and yummily with their coffee, cakes and pastas while serenading with melodious tunes at the background.
Overall, cakes and coffee are decent, we enjoyed
the lovely atmosphere accentuated with some aesthetic elements. A quick flip
through its attractive menu shows that there are indeed other several
interesting espresso-themed drinks which summons for another revisit, so leave
it till then when back to Penang again!
