THE COFFEE MAN AT IJM LAND’S
PANTAI SENTRAL PARK
ICE Gallery hosts Good Coffee Day with movie screening with
WorldBarista Champion Sasa Sestic and Coffee Workshop by
Latte Art Champion Tristan Creswick

After the special screening of The Coffee Man featuring none other than the World Barista Champion, Sasa Sestic, who also present on that day itself, the space of ICE Gallery’s in-house theatre was then transformed into a casual stage where audiences welcomed Latte Art Champion, Tristan Creswick before enlightening the floor through a special Filter Coffee Workshop.

The winner of 2008 Sydney/NSW Latte Art Champion, was very genial and immediately warmed up the enclave with his chumminess while sharing some light camaraderie with the guests.

Tristan took us through the coffee workshop articulately and taught everyone that present the importance of good quality coffee beans and how to best extract the gist, even though within the comfort of your home.Just like any other types of various produce, different harvest of coffee beans will bring along its unique, varied characteristics which, if roasted and brewed correctly, would unveil a full, engaging rich aroma of coffee scent. Isn’t that bewildering? (=

First session started off with a V60 Pour Over using the exclusive blend of freezer-processed Castillo from El Mirador in Colombia, which is also the winning coffee by Hugh Kelly, from Ona Coffee who was being crowned Australian Barista Champion for 2016 following Company Director Sasa Sestic's win in 2015. Such a remarkable achievement delivered by the team!

Second demo ensue soon using Espro Press, somewhat similar to our much familiar French Press, producing Single Origin Filter of Colombia Santuario Micay by Malaysia Cloud Catcher- ONA. Another amazing filter coffee.

And the inspiring hands-on experience by Tristan himself. Thanks for the guidance agian!

Also in order to pamper the guests sensuously with these precious beans, cups after cups of robust coffee freshly brewed Australian coffee roaster Coffex, came greeting the sense, and the soothing redolence slowly brimmed the every nook and corner of IJM LAND’s ICE Gallery of Pantai Sentral Park.

Superbar Blend

As unanimously noticed by most of us now, the coffee culture has indeed changed dramatically over the last few years, catapulting this enchanting beans exquisiteness from the once used to be ubiquitous daily morning pick-me-up to becoming a more refined and semi-luxury beverage enjoyment.

Hope there would be more coffee appreciation session to come soon.
