X-MEN BATTLE NIGHT | MAGNETO VS APOCALYPSE @ BLUE ELEPHANT, BUKIT DAMANSARA

Talking about an unique tavern that is not so omnipresent, the Blue Elephant located at Plaza Damansara (just stone’s thrown away from Huckleberry which I’ve reviewed recently) is one trendy cantina that perfectly fits in the picture of a well-hidden ginmill which already challenging your inquisitiveness from the start when trying to locate its exact hideout.

  

A rather obscure to the passerby if you do not notice the projecting blue neon lights on the pavement of the doorway- the entrance to the mystical red carpet staircase embraced by various blockbusters framed posters literally illuminating your way up, as you ascended the stairs with a bewildered mind. The more conspicuous landmark to this lounge would be Neroteca Restaurant by the way.

You’ll soon end up at a blackish-white chromatic space of director’s chair and with X-Men characters awaiting you along with the many stacked up famous films and iconic personas from the bigtime movie productions.

This is where your detective instinct being tested. Not to be a spoiler for you, just remember to be little bit more imaginative or rather think out-of-the-box and thou shall find your way into the speakeasy-vibed hidden bar with comfy couches behind the walls. Hence, not gonna revealing how we actually entered into the Oscar-studded bar so not to tamper the element of surpriseeee………… (=

The paradoxically challenger to the usual run-of-the-mill concept makes its more outstanding than the common gastropubs which certainly positions itself as one of the ideal venue if you wish to throw an unparallel private event to surprise your guests.

We were invited over there for an exclusive session, fun-packed with series of games all night long with movie themed Magneto VS Apocalypse to excite our weekend, accompanied by an appealing array of free-flow, brilliantly house crafted cocktails to spice you up through the evening.

Before we dived in further with the booze, invited guests were divided into 2 groups for the games- so choose your villain in X-Men wisely. And hence, we sided the Storm (who replaced Apocalypse) with the sheer hope of “There will always be some light in every resister- they just need some effortful enlightening (=

And my favourtie is none other than the namesake Blue Elephant itself!

(There’s white wine in it, perhaps that’s the culprit who lures me more into the tangy fruity sensation)

All in all, we had a whale of a time there and truly enjoyed ourselves. It’s a joyful night getting to know new acquaintances too and eventually enjoying our victories of movie tickets, X-Men huge posters and cheers with Budweiser! Thanks for the companion, Anita, Ruba and Daniel. You guys rocks! So the next time you are looking to design the very own private party that you always wanted, you know where you should head to.
