The 2016 MIGF Awards &
Celebration Party marks the culmination of the annual festival’s 15th year
with the theme High Octane Chefs,
where various esteemed chefs across the nation come to showcase their spread of
high-powered cuisine that are set to wow you discerning palates, this time at
Berjaya Times Square Theme Park.
The multi-levelled theme park party was vibrantly illuminated with
rides
of all shapes and sizes and graced by the patronage of royalty, ambassadors, celebrities
and captains of industry. This year’s High Octane Chefs prized were bestowed by the
Most Honoured Guest, Tourism Malaysia Director Mr Saidi Bundan, and Festival Royal
Patron Tunku Naquiyuddin ibni Tuanku
Ja’afar, who together with MIGF Organising Chairman Dato’ Steve Day over ssome 165 awards throughout
the course of the evening.
Guests of the floor were also treated to a scrumptious array of
local flair that went on buffet style this year, besides the many frozen
treats from Gelatomio for the sweet tooth as well as beers and wines for the rest of
the epicureans alike.

Golden
Cauldron Award for the Best All-Round Restaurant 2016
The Golden Cauldron Award is given to the
restaurant that, in the opinion of the judges, is the best all-round restaurant
of the Festival. Marks are given for the standard of cuisine, the enthusiasm
and creativity of the chef, kitchen, service and entire restaurant team and the
overall service as well as Performance at the VIP Gala Launch, Taste MIGF and
in terms of Festival Marketing.

So glad to see Chef James Ho from Ruyi & Lyn
and his comrades again!
Despite his fame, he has no airs and graces who naturally makes
everyone just feels comfortable as if you’re taking to your bosom buddy. Humility
and his passions in culinary arts have always been the magnetic aura of him
that keeps spurring the astounding team spirit among them.
Also spotted charming Lyn spending some time to
catch up with her amigo since alma mate, Ngai Yuen. Both equally charming and
charismatic persona that certainly have painted Malaysia names in the global
arena. Kudos and there is lots to learn from these 2 role enchanting role
models.
Before calling it a day, let’s have many wonderful toasts again!
As such, the colourful carnival wrapped up the gustatory month-long event of October 2016 MIGF prestigiously with the rip roaring of Harley Davidsons’ thunderous bikes revving up the space with its gorgeous convoy. It was a much celebrated and gastronomic evening indeed!
