ROUND 2 | CASUAL BAR & BISTRO @ SS2




Talking about nasi lemak, guess everyone is already familiar with this Malaysia staples and its usual must-have companions like fried anchovies, sambal (chili paste), cucumber and coconut milk-cooked rice, as we all grow up with it. But what makes this dish so memorable over here at Round 2 is mainly due to its unique twist to the original recipe that superbly appealing to foodie who are especially pork lovers!




Round 2 is located just one floor up, and in fact, is accessible from The Tiffin Kitchen located at the ground floor at the eateries-in undated neighbourhood of SS2


The food that you dine at Round 2 is actually from the menu of The Tiffin Kitchen, and thus, prepared from its kitchen downstairs. This is the perfect spot to be at, especially you needed a quick sip or two as round 2 session after your main meal. As such, it makes the ideal casual bar and bistro pitstop, focusing on serving good quality food, beer, cocktails and other beverages at a truly reasonable price.

NASI LEMAK PORK PERCIK (MYR 12.90)
Thoroughly marinated piece of succulent slab! Tender and juicy with loads of herbs to spice it up!



BUTTER MILK CHICKEN RICE (MYR 9.90)
You have it the Raja or original way. I suppose the former comes with more herb fragrance.



CHEESE BAKED RICE WITH SATAY SAUCE (MYR 15.90)
Something different from my usual Hongkie cheese-baked rice.



PORK FRIED RICE (MYR 10.90)
Longstanding crowds favourite! And I nearly thought it as char siew.



SIGNATURE PORK SATAY (MALAYSIAN STYLE- MYR 8.80)
Pork belly marinated in 13 different herbs and spices, grilled over charcoal. Love the intense  dosage of lemongrass that helps bring out its flavor. Highly recommended!



Now for the beer’s Best Friend it is!

ROUND 2 SIGNATURE FRIES (MYR 9.80)
French fries drizzled with truffle oil then topped with pork floss, bacon, pork lard and aioli! All these for the pork-lovers as well as truffle fans like me, need say more? (=



CHILLY CRAB FRIES (MYR 8.80)
Another signature where crunchy fries are topped with a tangy chilly crab and egg sauce. The gravy is really full of the crustacean aroma and taste!



MUSHROOM FRIES (MYR 8.80)
Crunchy karagae battered oyster mushrooms served with homemade BBQ Sriracha Sauce


SALTED EGG WINGS (MYR 8.80)
Battered and fried wings tossed with cili padi, curry leaves and creamy salted egg sauce.


BIG PIG IN BIG BLANKET (MYR 9.80)
12-inch long sausage wrapped in bacon, fried until crispy on the outside, and juicy within.



CEREAL MANTIS PRAWN (MYR 9.80)
Crunchy mantis prawn tossed with crispy Nestum

Overall, the cozy environment here compliments the food and drinking experience. Food were tasty especially the pork-based recipes, very well-marinated and deliciously prepared throughout. And I am already looking forward to my next return, fixing my craving for its mouthwatering and succulent pork meat! Not only it is wallet-friendly but the food quality is in checked too! Thumbs up!
