WANAKA VIEW MOTEL @ WANAKA

After a brief stop at Queenstown earlier and leaving with a happy tummy filled with glorious meals at Fergburger, we soon arrived at Wanaka View Motel slightly passed 5pm local time, and the sky was getting darker, huhu. Certainly sun set far away much earlier than in Malaysia as New Zealand is 4 hours ahead than the former. Still, we embraced the moment as it is.

  

Just as we cruise on the road leisurely, we passed by the oldest historical Cardrona hotel in New Zealand- and that certainly called for a quick stop for some snapshots of course! (=

Not forgetting those random shots of Mother Nature’s autumn foliage during the journey much earlier.

The staff on duty was very friendly and patiently waited for us, besides sharing some tips on where to dine and wine, as well as scenic spots to check out. The senior lady was very affable and full of vigour, not even once reflected by her age. Thank you very much again for your kind assistance and patience for waiting for our arrival in evening.

Wanaka View Motel is a self-contained 5 chalets and a studio room with a downtown location from where you can easily enjoy the lake front walks, cafes, supermarket, shopping and activities. And if you manage to get the two front units, it offers an amazing Wanaka lake and mountain views directly from your window!

The view actually looks much better during the day time!

We then quickly checked in our room eagerly. It's actually getting colder as the temperatures dropped further during the night.

It was a studio room that’s perfect for 2 guests, fully equipped with refrigerator, tea, coffee, toaster, TV and private bathroom! It’s more than what we needed and considered a pretty decent rate at NZD 130 per night, considering its strategic location which is facing beautiful Lake Wanaka!

The coffee and tea set even inclusive of your own French Press, yeah!!

  

So another great, picturesque lakes in New Zealand checked!

And we can’t wait to discover more during our maiden excursion here.
