SCENIC COASTAL DRIVE ALONG AORANGI HIGHWAY & TERRACE ROAD, AORAKI

Soon after we had enough (actually not real ^^) time enjoying our cuppa time and immersing in the warm sunrays from Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre Café & Bar overlooking the pristine stretch of Aoraki mountain, we though it’s about time lift our heavy butts up and get it going for next adventure- if we want to make it in time to catch the rest of the scenic view while the weather is still good to us. And so, we bid adieu to the lovely Hermitage Hotel (I’m still missing it very much even till now) and enroute along the Aorangi highway for the enchanting turquoise lake along the coast.

We actually made a few pit stops in between whenever we caught a glimpse of any beautiful spots, not knowing exactly where we were that time, but one thing for sure is- should we just let it pass by, we would definitely miss all those natural picturesque views! And also don’t think my eager and adventurous shutterbug stint would ever allow that to happen too, hehe.

Somewhere the route while we were driving down from Mount Cook, we were stricken by the charming seemingly light blue lake water beneath the hanging bridge that we decided to pull aside quickly for awhile (=

Enough for some few shots amid the bright, sunny day, we happened to chance upon a quaint little cottage-like feel place before we realized that it’s actually holiday park of Glentanner within the vicinity of Mount Cook. The park there was pretty cool we thought, and so made a quick stroll at the colorful forest with Nikon babe for some good snap shots while me- some lame selfie while waiting for Warm Pillow to be back from the lake bank, haha. It’s getting pretty warm though at that time, hehe.

After which where we passed by the fresh salmon oasis at Omarama Ave- none other than High Country Salmon! Needless to say, we went in again and satisfied our craving even though it’s just a take away. At least we get to munch in the car while reminiscing the wondrous moment spent at Aoraki mountain the night before. Indeed, it was a very, very blissful moment and wondrous serendipity to behold…………

Seriously, I'm not pulling your leg, but i am really unsure where is this location, haha. But rest be assured, thou shall pass by the same route if you are following our itinerary (=
It's just that pretty much depends on the weather and season that you are travelling whether would you able to see the similar scenery as us.
I basically just "snap" along the course of journey while Warm Pillow was driving, pretty helpful kind of passenger huh? Lolz...........

After some 2 hours’s drive or so, we finally reached our next staycation at the Southland city- Bumbles Backpackers Queenstown it is!

Glad our check-in was a pleasant and swift one, so that we could head out fast again in search for food! Dinner time is callin’ anyway! (=

But before that, we would still love to give it a try to see if we could make it in time for the last few trips of Skyline Queenstown Gondola; the fact that it’s actually already early evening upon our arrival. Anyway, fingers crossed and more momentous twilight pictures would be shared real soon!
