Soon after a quick check-in to YHA Queenstown Lakefront Backpackers, we immediately drove out in hope to catch the last few gondola rides for the picturesque skyline of Queenstown from Queenstown Gondola located nearby at Brecon Street.

The world of Queenstown Skyline is touted as the home to the ultimate Gondola & Luge experience. Its attraction includes featuring a gondola to a panoramic restaurant or bar, Maori performances as well as a luge ride down.

In fact, the uphill ride actually also offers tranquil walking tracks, mountain biking trails, cultural experiences, adventure activities and great dining options, all with unsurpassed scenic views, besides the Gondola ride up. If only we could reach this place earlier, then we could have snapped some really stunning and breathtaking views from the mountain. Guess we would have to do with the evening scene for now, hehe.

The Queenstown gondola is available from AUD 35 onwards, with options to buy the ride with restaurant meal package as well. We went for the basic ride package as we wished to be back to the town soon and allow more time to explore the city a little longer- before heading to a popular kiosk serving one of the best Fish & Chips in town and well-liked by the locals! Nyummmm……………. We had previously missed its other outlet in Wanaka, so not gonna let that happened again! (=
