YHA QUEENSTOWN LAKEFRONT BACKPACKERS @ NEW ZEALAND
After departing from Sir
Edmund Hillary Cafe & Bar at Hermitage Hotel and
catching some beautiful snapshots while cruising along Aorangi-Mt Cook
Highway, passing by Glentanner,
finally we reached our next staycation at YHA
Queenstown Lakefront Backpackers, which is strategically located in the
town and driving distance to nearby restaurants. Best of all, it’s overlooking Lake Wakatipu, just wish we
have more time to spend longer here to check out the lakefront view during the
brighter day time (But that seems not really ideally happening as we were too
easily dumbfounded by the many scenic lookout points that we happened to chance
upon while journeying the route earlier on, haha) Sorry peepz! (=
This hostel was a
lovely place to experience the beauty and excitement of Queenstown as it’s only
a 10-minutes’ walk into town or within 5 minutes driving range. (Unfortunately,
Warm Pillow is always not so keen in strolling, lolz. Otherwise, I would prefer
to slowly take a leisure walk towards the town while enjoying the chilling
breeze, hehe)
The YHA Queenstown Lakefront
hostel is a comfortable, fully equipped hostel for get a good night’s sleep, sitting
right on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, offering enchanting views of the lake and
remarkable mountain range. Yet, even though it’s in the centre of Queenstown, this
backpackers is still remarkably peaceful and quiet for you to immerse in the tranquility,
reflecting the wonderful excursion so far.
The accommodation is
comfortable, clean and quiet and with views overlooking Lake Wakatipu straight
from our room’s window, spruced by the autumn trees.
One thing that kind
of amazed me was the sleek rooms and common bathrooms as well as laundry
facilities which were really clean and tidy. They were systematically arranged and
conveniently segregated.
The hostel also has a
fully equipped kitchen for your use, same goes to the communal dining area and lounge.
The Queenstown Lakefront hostel staff were friendly and accommodating.
As usual, any glassy
built would never fail to steal away my attention, hehe.
As twilight will befallen soon, we hurry up
after keeping our luggage in the room and head out immediately towards Queenstown
Gondola in hope to catch both evening and night skyline view from the hilltop.
