People say great moments always tend to pass by rather quickly.
Indeed, within few weeks time it’s the annual occasion for the Chinese folks to
organize yet another reunion dinner (after CNY earlier this year) over some toothsome
mooncakes enjoyment while sharing nostalgic chatters with family and friends.
In conjunction with this festive season, The Library Coffee & Bar has come up
with an array of delectable range of mooncake namely Salted Egg Custard and Matcha
Tiramisu amongst them, which would very much appeal to the adventurous taste buds.
Having said that, traditional flavours such as Single Yolk Lotus mooncake and
others are still available and makes pleasant gift to buddies alike as well as corporate
acquiantance.
Salted Egg Custard
This golden gem distinguishes itself from its peer with the
unique gooey filling in the middle when sliced, heightening up the excitement.
Glad that the lotus paste is not too sweet and pairs perfectly well with a hot
cuppa of steeped tea.
Matcha Tiramisu
The alluring green bake greets your palate with nice and
subtle combination of matcha fragrance with dainty aroma of coffee in the
paste. Somehow, they strike a pretty good balanced nuance and texture- although
I don’t mind stronger green tea taste (speaking from an ardent fan of matcha,
hehe) Hence, it’s not entirely dominated by green tea flavour and as such, suitable
for all walks of life. No worry, it won’t have the challenging strong, grassy
notes of matcha.
And for this, I personally enjoy to have it together with a
cup of joe to match it up sensuously.
Regardless to savour these heritage delights with coffee or
tea, both shall work find. It all boils down to your preference of which suits
you better. After all, we all do know that taste is a very personal thing, ain’t
it? Hence, there are no strict rules and just go with the flow basking in the
wondrous moment (=
