WINE PAIRING- 9 VINES FESTIVAL @ THE DAILY GRIND IN COLLABORATION WITH ROCKCLIFFE WINERY & DIONYSUS ASIA
No one degustation is the same when it comes to food and
wine pairing, due to various factors as in the geographical climate,
environment and temperature of the surrounding, also not forgetting the unique
palette owned by each respective individual of such aesthetic appreciation. In
view of this, Dionysus Asia has recently launched its inaugural vin de table fiesta collaborating with 4
renowned restaurants at Ampang, with The Daily Grind as one of the retro yet
casual celebrated partners of the neighbourhoods.
Merely fortnight after the exquisitely delicate omakase
affair at Sushi Hibiki 鮨ひびき,
it’s time to ride on the westernized side of gastronomy with the exclusive wine
pairing event at The Daily Grind KL in conjunction with the inaugural
month-long 9Vines Festival.
Jointly organized by Dionysus Asia as well as 4 other
restaurants with The Daily Grind KL being one of them, the wine and dine
evening successfully kicked off on 29th September 2018 with
exclusive menu specially crafted for wine pairing with Rockcliffe Winery from Denmark
Australia
Occupying the dining space upstairs which is perfect for
intimate occasions, the enclave exudes a placid and laid-back ambience that is
very well composed with warm glass lamp shades and wood-panelled walls that
lend some rustic elements to the space while the black and white-tiled floor
adds some sophisticated touch to it.
The dainty evening started off with some Pre Dinner nosh,
before moving on to Soup, Appetizer, Burger, Main Course and wrapping on a
sweet note with Dessert, alongside with the ideal wine pairing to go with. Just
before the gourmet session actually commenced, we had the opportunity to have a
quick greet-and-meet session with the founder and owner of Rockcliffe winery; Dr. Steve, all the
way from Denmark, Australia, sharing his inspiring journey about his passion in
wine before leading us towards the in-depth understanding of his respective
wine harvest. It was a marvelous and insightful sharing by Steve indeed.
Located just a stone’s throw away from La Risata is where
the quaint and a tad hippie eatery of The Daily Grind is currently nestling.
Being the specialist in gourmet burger, the degustation event would not be
complete without the showcase of their forte besides other lovely appetizers,
soups, main course and dessert too.

It was definitely a lovely evening of wine and dine moment
coupled with jovial camaraderie exchanged with other guests joining the
gastronomic night. And voila, it always feels good to have a quick catch up
with amigo again, cheers again Steve!

wine tasting, or a taste of the special curated Gin Lao’s cuisine- a pop-up restaurant located within Rockcliffe Winery offering amazing
South-East Asian cuisine alongside Steve’s wine tasting cellar. The golden when

These all are great options but I like burger. For me this is great combination with napa valley cabernet sauvignon
