A quintessential must-have dish in every CNY celebration. And is made remarkably out of the norm under the good hands of Executive Chef James Ho, a returning passionate Malaysian with dreams of innovating the local gourmet scene and breaking the mould of conventional food industry with his Pan Asian creations.






I can really relate his sheer dedication metaphorically like a coal which got thoroughly polished that will eventually turns into a glittering diamond- in this case, the seemingly normal Prosperity Toss has been reinvented with a nice, ingenious touch of creativity!

28K GOLDEN KOI “YU” SANG (MYR168)| 28K金元宝鲤鱼捞
Exclusive Koi Fish design with edible gold, salted egg yolk crispy fish skin, Atlantic salmon sashimi and sea caviar (sea grapes)


   
Personally, I really adore the idea of incorporating the bubble-fronded seaweed into it, rendering the dish an amazing nuance, lovely!



BOSTON BIG BROTHER (MYR 428) |蒜香波士顿龙虾伴干烧鲍鱼
Deep fried garlic Boston lobster, braised abalone with sweet chili sauce and prawn cracker.

  

Encasing the juicy lobster meat was the outer crust that was fried till golden crisp with flavourful garlicky and peppery crumbs attached to it. The sweet chili sauce was memorable to me as it’s not that spicy as it may sound but lends a savory coating to the bouncily braised abalone, bravo!


BEAUTY FISH MAW BROTH | 焖蟹肉鱼鳔
Any pumpkin and fish maw lovers should not miss this.
A decadent soup that has been saporously prepared with collagen-rich fish maw and chicken slices in pumpkin reductions, garnished with nutritious wolfberries. Lovin’ it!



  
8 TREASURE DUCK (MYR 228) |发财好市8
Served with abalone, dried oyster, chestnut, salted egg yolk and black moss.
Certainly matching as a golden pot of all kind of cherished treasures in it.

  




HOKKAIDO VEGETARIAN PRAWN (MYR 48) |北极斋明虾炒西葫
This springy bites of “Tiger Prawn” is actually vegan-friendly and tastefully stir fried with diced zucchini and capsicum.




FORTUNE DUCK GLUTINOUS RICE (MY 48) | 鸭腊味炒芋头糯米饭
Well-layered glutinous rice fragrantly cooked with smoked duck, waxed meat, mushroom, dried shrimps and taro. I love how each grain of rice was nicely texturized and most importantly, they were not sticky at all but light in each scoop, yummm……………



FLAMES OF GLORY (MYR 48) | 火焰菠牛腩
Beef brisket braised in a flaming pineapple.
Touting as one its signatures, the beef cutlet was brilliantly cooked till succulent and juiciness remained intact. Humble execution that shows simplicity at its best!


KOI FISH “NIAN GAO” (MYR 68) |鲤鱼年
The heritage of generation-handed-down recipe is again given a new breath of life with this agile vigor tweak, prosperously filled with sweet red bean inside it. To be honest, I don’t really have the heart to slice it for they were looking utterly stunning and graceful!
