ECHO IN THE NIGHT VOL. 4 FEATURING SUSHI HIBIKI (鮨ひびき) & JEREMY MONTEIRO TRIO @ NO BLACK TIE
Time really flies……. in just the wink of an eye, the popularly
anticipated monthly series by Sushi Hibiki has now come to its fourth inception following its previous illustrious trilogy with various thematic collaboration.
This time round at Echo In The Night Vol.4, we have the aesthetic addition from one
of the top jazz pianists in Asia who is touted as ‘Singapore’s King of Swing’ back in his native country, Jeremy
Monteiro, teaming up with his versatile trio of guest bassist Rudi
Engel from Germany and drummer Aaron James Lee.
Together,
they played a selection of jazz standards and original compositions to keep both
art lovers and bon vivants accompanied throughout, serenading the crowds mellifluently
with melodious tunes that evening at No
Black Tie while relishing in refined fête crafted by Executive
Sushi Chef Makoto Saito Sam (Founder & Owner of Sushi Hibiki) in this
unparallel kitchen setting, pairing with some fine sake selections.

never go wrong when relishing in ingenious matcha confectionary made by the own
chocolatier who hails from the country itself. This dainty green and velvet
slice is the epitome where a matcha chocolate is explicitly crafted without being
overly sweet, despite using white chocolate base. Absolutely got it nailed on
point!
And the evening continued to be musically imbued with classics from the jazz pianist and his band as you indulge in the sweet delectation with a tipple or two.
After being titillated with so many art of culinary
surprise, what else is not possible by the affable Sushi Chef Makoto
Saito-san? Just stay tuned for more whimsical events and surprises to come
