PULL A SHOT SPECIALTY COFFEE @ KUANTAN

While joining the impromptu excursion towards the East Coast when the idea spontaneously came up by buddy, another pleasant caffeinic discovery ensued later too- whereby filter coffee scene is already making its wave away from the already saturated major places like in the Central Region.

Close chum would have known that this foodie has always has a yen for good hand pour of single origin when done well; and usual favourite bean would be Ethiopian or any beans that comes with fruity profile. For that personally I think, it makes the perfect companion whenever I’m enjoying the cup of joe over some nosh of sweet bites or confectionary.

When in Klang Valley, Artelier Coffee X Kitchen at Pavilion KL has always been topping my list of cafe-to-go to whenever craving kicks in ever since its inception. It has a wide range of different coffee roaster ranging from locally in Malaysia to abroad like Japan. Besides well known for these artisanal coffee range, its signature, “Dirty” has also long reigned as my fave cuppa where chilled café latte is impeccably done. In fact, I hardly order cold latte most of the time for I don't really fancy diluted beverage, but my faith is forever anchored here every since I first tasted it at WA Café, which also helmed by the same maestro of Artelier Coffee since 6 years ago.

And as I thought such crafted coffee usually is more appreciated in KL due to its steeper price than your usual black, I was rather surprised to learn that there is indeed a hidden gem in the tranquil town of Kuantan which goes by the name of Pull A Shot.

Toscakaka with Ice Cream (MYR 12)
Unique almond cake with little crumbles on it, it's my first time tasting such though. I don't mind if it can be much monster or slight buttery for  more indulgence (=

Sweet Potato Cheesecake (MYR 10)
First glance of it immediately conjures back the nostalgic trip to Korea last time, enjoying a cuppa of goguma while waiting my

Iced Chocolate (MYR 11)

Single Origin (MYR 15)
Roasted in-house under Coffee Head, the fruity and tad winey notes of the brew were bright and refreshing. Various layer of nuance actually gave a longer lingering of aftertaste.

Glad to have found this serendipity!
