CAPE NATURALISTE LIGHTHOUSE & MEELUP BEACH @ DUNSBOROUGH, WA
We quickly made our way to Cape Naturaliste as well as
Meelup beach after some nearly 2 hours’ scenic pit stop at the enchanting granite
coastline of Canal Rocks.
Time was really tickling fast as we were rushing to
catch the golden view of Busselton Jetty before sunset entirely took over.
A quick glimpse of Naturaliste Lighthouse from afar which
we did not have the luxury of time to laze bit longer. Nevertheless, we were grateful
that we managed to visit Cape
Leeuwin Lighthouse in Augusta (Day
5 Itinerary). Guess that shall make it up for now, hehe.
Personally if you asked me, I think the latter
architecture was much more spellbinding due to higher height I supposed, that
allowed it to give a better and wider birds’ eye view of the ocean?

Meelup Beach is part of an A class reserve- Meelup
Regional Park, which is nearly 60 hectares, extending 11km around Geographe Bay
from Dunsborough to Bunker Bay. This reserve park is similar in size to Kings
Park in Perth which is important for its conservation values, unique landscape and
wide range of recreation opportunities.
Wide flat beach of white sand between low rocky shorelines
providing calm swimming conditions for most of the year.
Large and old trees growing down to the beach give much
welcome shade especially from the harsh summer sun.
This beach is touted the best place to see the moon.
Thanks to its location as the beach is facing north
east where both the moon and sun can be seen rising out of the water, which is
a rare and spectacular sight in Western Australia. If only we have more time
for this……………..
Why the globe seemingly round and small where it’s
deceivingly possible to connect every dot but yet so vast that it takes a
substantial amount of time before we could possibly ventured every part of the
world? Guess that’s the beauty of Mother Nature decided by God, so embrace it appreciatively
and count the blessings! (=
Cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for more ‘food-ful’
discoveries! ❤ℒℴѵℯ❤
And our travel journey continues....................
