BUSSELTON JETTY @ GEOGRAPHE BAY, BUSSELTON, PERTH

Sleek and tall standing conifer trees greeted us upon our hasty arrival from Canal’s Rock, Cape Naturaliste as well as Meelup Beach. Suddenly it reminded me of the autumn time spent in Naomi Island previously, so heartwarming…………..
Anyway, we gotta be hurried up towards the long jetty as sunset was just lurking around the corner by the time we reached.

Busselton Jetty is the longest wooden piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, located in beautiful Geographe Bay.
The first section of the jetty was opened in 1865 and has been numerously extended to its current length of 1,841 metres! Hmm, and now I wonder would it even got elongated again? I don’t mind to walk further down again, hehe.
A small entry fee is charged to fund maintenance and preserve the heritage listed jetty for future generations. Jetty Day Pass for Adult (AUD 4) and CHILD (Free)
At the end of the jetty is one of only 5 Underwater Observatories (UWO) in the World!
Do bear in mind there are some uneven surface along the jetty. As such, care must be taken at all times especially if you are travelling with elderly or the young persons, whom ought to be accompanied along.
There is also a leisure ride that could be taken on the Jetty Train from the Interpretive Centre to the UWO; package priced at AUD 34 (Adult) and AUD 17 (Child 7-4 yo), or optional Family Pass available too at AUD 90.50 (2 Adult & 2 Children) that includes 40mins guided tour, return train journey and jetty day pass.
Or ticketed One-Way or Return Jetty Train Journey at AUD 13.50 (Adult) and AUD 6.75 (Child), including jetty day pass.

Time passed real fast when you’re enjoying such a wonderfully tranquil moment. Without realizing, the day had turned dark pretty fast and this means it’s time for us to head back to our crib downtown- which was nearly an hour away.
Cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for more ‘food-ful’ discoveries! ℒℴѵ
And our travel journey continues....................
