3D 2N TRIP @ GEORGE TOWN, PENANG
Glad that finally making another return to the food haven island where all the best hawker food such as Char Koay Teow, Hokkien Mee, Lobak and many more that are alluringly beckoning. It has been a really long overdue trip in fact to this yummy island :D
DELUXCIOUS HOTEL
Despite being a Penangite myself who spends
most of the time in KL, I wouldn’t have the best advice on that matter. But
thankfully, the angel came to me from the cheeky and yet humble amigo (also
hails from Penang) who is a hard-core Penang food advocate too, same goes to
me. Of course, I’m incomparable to such seasoned and down-to-earth Chef buddy
who cooks really mouthwatering Penang food- comes with good ‘wok hei’
seriously, I’m not pulling your leg. And he is Chef Arthur by the way (=
Hence, after buckling
up with all the great suggestions of those hidden earnest place, I’m pretty
much confident to lead the way- despite still being constantly teased by Pillow
for depending on Waze even when going around in my hometown. Some I
don’t even know exists pardon me, hehe. But they are toothsomely inviting
indeed.
MOODY COW DESSERT
CAFE
Up next, we visited one of the widely talked about,
notoriously famed for its sinful confectioneries. So Pillow left the cake
choices to me. After some brief hesitation in a jiffy, we decided to go for the
house famous best seller, namely Hybrid Madness.
Each components of the cake sounded as boldly as they were
contradicting to each other, but ironically this unison didn’t turn out that worrisome.
Instead, they seem to be complementing each other subtly in arriving at a
mutual balance of nuance. I mean, how not to wonder when you see the savoury
anchovies which you would usually see in Nasi Lemak, was seen as your cake
topping together with best ingredients to your porridge- salted egg and century
egg! (=

Of course, not forgetting to stay abreast to the latest café
scene in Penang- and for this, I gotta thank another buddy of mine, who is an
ardent coffee aficionado for sharing us the trusted source (=
LE PETIT FOUR
Bonjour!
That Sunday morning, weather was
lovely that after waking up at the cozy bed of Deluxcious Hotel, we
immediately retun to Le Petit for another round of visit, haha. As previously
the much anticipated croissant had
run out, we dropped by again enthusiastically the next day to check them back and
glad that we’re in luck this time(=
It was our second visit consecutively and we can’t help but
to be continuously amazed by its awesome coffee and mouthwatering desserts! I
must tell you, the Lemon is
really gooddd…………

LUNABAR COFFEE
Following a tip-off from my trusted
fellow café chum, finally found another well hidden caffeine fix place to have
some good sip before driving back to KL.
Essentially a quaint and minimalist
set up with mostly white and beige sleek theme, this hippie hideout serves as a
rather serene place that is perfect to unwind the day with your favourite book
and a cuppa or two.
We love how the single origin coffee
was aromatically brewed whereby it left a somewhat delicate nuance of licorice
aftertaste, indeed uniquely memorable.
