“WARONGKU” RAMADHAN BUFFET @ BIJAN BAR & RESTAURANT
In conjunction of the
upcoming Ramadhan, Bijan will be
ushering this holy month titled “Warongku”
in the perfect replica kampong setting for diners to share the ceremonial
breaking of fast with their loved ones and friends.
Head Chef Razis and his assistant Sous Chef Ujang have planned out some
great mixed menus, showcasing Malay food heritage at it’s best ! A sumptuous
buffet featuring a selection of local kampong everyday favourites to modern
renditions of classic dishes.
Some old favourites
to look forward to are Rendang Daging
Hijau, Sambal Udang Petai, Sotong Hitam Manis & Itik Salai Lemak Cili Api
to name a few.
You do not really
want to miss out their flavourfully cooked dishes especially Sambal Udang Petai and Sotong Hitam Manis- both were so good that
I kept hooked on for more!
Diners can also enjoy
freshly prepare Satay, Lemang , Pecal Kuah Kacang , Laksam Bungkus and aneka
bakar bakar from our “live” stations.
I’m not really a
satay person BUT- I always love satay prepared by Bijan KL
and their signature nutty peanut sauce. Reason being is that they are using
real meat and the best part is- well balanced of meat marbling which leans
towards lean mean rather than merely unhealthy fats which is usually seen
elsewhere, so thumbs up!
And not forgetting,
Bijan has some “to die for” desserts like
Pandan Pudding & Coconut Crème Caramel and also new additions like Kek
Pulut Mangga, Bubur Sum Sum Bunga Telang and Tapai Pulut Durian.
My personal fave goes to those santan-rich desserts that are earnestly prepared such as Pandan Pudding, Kek Pulut Mangga, Sum Sum Bunga Telang and last but not least, Tapai Pulut Durian, simply divine!!
Bijan will have 3 different buffet menus in rotation. Each menu will be rotating every 2 days. Ramadan is a wonderful time to create cherish moments with family & friends “breaking fast” together.
