TRAVEL | 9D 8N in PERTH @ AUSTRALIA

In view that some of you has enquired on my Perth itinerary; here you go all in a snapshot for your easy reference. In fact, I have actually shared in details for each day and destinations (similar to my
5D 4N Hong Kong & Macau Trip) in hope to capture more vivid information for my readers. And due to the global pandemic, many of us have to forgo our planning trips and hence, naturally the travel stint in us has slowly built up over time. Anyway, let’s hope things will get better soon and do stay optimistic yea!

For now, feel free to click in to respective links with places of your interest. Hope that’s helpful and cheers!

   Perth Travel Day 1

This trip I would deem pretty special as the route chosen was rather less taken by first-time vacationist to Western Australia (WA)- cause we are going to visit an altruistic acquaintance who is a true-blue wine aficionado. By now, you should be able to guess how we were connected in the first place right? So smart of you! Hehe……

Thanks to the buddy who indirectly inspires us to embark on our escapade unparallelly!

Rather than the conventional way of going anti-clockwise from Perth towards the Great Southern Ocean, we decided to work harder and reap the fruits later (for the sake of energy-conserving purpose), so we started off from Perth City after picking up our No Birds rented car upon arrival at the airport during the wee hours the night before.

So we visited Frenchmans Bay, Middleton Beach and definitely not missing out the local’s favourite fish & chips restaurant of Ocean & Paddock.

       Perth Travel Day 2

After the fruitful jaunts to the many lovely spots on the first day in the Great Southern Ocean, we proceed undoubtedly to the very next day with much more anticipations as well as hope for more blessings for beautiful weather to stay with us as long as possible.

Upon checking out from the comfortable crib at YHA Albany, we started the morning just like the local folks here by visiting the nearby lively market place of Albany Farmers Market before continuing to the rest of the destinations such as Albany Wind Farm, Emu Point, The Gap & Natural Bridge etc till the night greeted us again!

    Perth Travel Day 3

One thing that vividly imprinted in my memory about Albany that I could bring along with me would have be the spacious compound which is liberally occupied by each beautiful house within the peaceful neighbourhood, besides the scenic nature that is further warmed up by the friendly folks around. We are blessed with several days of beautiful weather which allows us to capture more wonderful moments during our short stint at this lovely town.

Hence, after checking out from the genial homestay at Spencer’s Park, we made a quick detour for few attraction spots such as the lush greenery The Tree Top Walk before really bidding goodbye to the wonderful Albany on our third day in Western Australia. And that includes Albany Heritage Park at National Anzac Centre, Anzac Peace Park, Rockcliffe Winery (finally visited my dear friend who runs this splendid vineyard), Greens Pool, Elephant Rocks and Elephant Cove at William Bay National Park

    Perth Travel Day 4

So, we started off our Day 4 with wonderful visit to Steve’s winery at Rockcliffe, where we got to visit the wine making factory with all the mega machineries involved in the production, before eventually you get to relax, sitting down at your cozy couch while enjoying a tipples or two. After that, we proceed for some hearty meals at Mrs Jones Café prior to driving down to Pemby town after a quick pitstop at Diamond Tree at Manjimup and Tree Top Walk.

    Perth Travel Day 5

So how does our Day 5 started from Pemby and along the course towards Augusta? From Diamond Tree to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, Hamelin Bay, Baywatch Manor and the memorable yummy dinner at Blue Ocean Fish & Chips.

Along the way, there would be some surprises that serve as a learning experience so we can do better planning next time, besides also striking new friendships from genial camaraderie rendered by the nice folks that we met during our sashay towards the South of West Australia.

    Perth Travel Day 6

While usually distance makes the heart grows fonder, it also tends to ignite the virtue of a deep thinker too. It’s true that people says travel allows both the eyes and mind to see things clearer, as well as to seek a better understanding of your travel companion- just to reaffirm if you guys are still on the right path?

And for today, we departed from Augusta and headed over to magnificent Jewel Cave, Margaret River for the serene Berry Farm Cottage Café, and picturesque Surfer’s Point Beach.

   Perth Travel Day 7

While we just concluded the Day 6 diary, we are now good to march on the momentum towards the completion till the ninth day. Just at the thought of it, already gets me pretty excited about it for I’m really looking forward to keep sharing the many picturesque and scenic spot that this Western part of Australia got to offer.

And to begin with, let’s kick start the day with great oomph from the good java over at the esteemed Yahava Coffee Roastery in Margaret River region before we proceed further to Cape Lavender Teahouse, Canal Rocks, Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse and Meelup Beach at Dunsborough, Busselton Jetty and others.

   Perth Travel Day 8

Entering the 8th day of the Aussie trip after latest pitstop at Right On Burgers, the escapade was actually nearing its completion before we flew off 2 days later.

And so before we left another beautiful town of Bunburry back to Perth with a quick visit at Fremantle in between after quick brunch at Bread In Common, we managed to stumble upon another favourite sighting- lighthouse serendipity in Bunburry. Thereafter, we had some quick grubs along the way at Taka while continued to be amazed by diverse historical architecture of the country.

   Perth Travel Day 9

Today marked the last day of our visit in Perth before catching our night flight later that evening.

In order to maximize the time left on the final day for this vacation, we had a pretty simple breakfast together with some fresh fruits we brought at Fremantle Market from yesterday’s trip. Soon after that, we head out on foot by trying out the public transport (Leederville subway) for we had already returned the car a day earlier before a quick visit for the scenic Elizabeth Quay, South Perth, King’s Park and wrapped up the day sumptuously at Jamie Oliver’s restaurant.
