LWIN LEE | CAFÉ OLLE – 쿠알라룸푸르 @ Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur.

Barely a week after touching down from Samchung-dong, we are back again to savour aromatic cuppa of Korean gourmet coffee, somewhat a cure to the longing nostalgia of Hanguk :) But now, it’s much more convenient as you could savour this good blend of Terrarosa beans locally at CAFÉ OLLE, nestled at the friendly neighbourhood of Sri Hartamas.

Terarosa- the coffee that knows the difference.

Compared to the previous visit for its unique Bamboo Salt Latte, this time round, it has further amused our taste bud with its slightly sweetened element for this exotic brew, accompanied by a decent range of new dishes on the menu, ranging from pasta, sandwich, dessert and definitely not forgetting its signature, coffee beverages.

Look at the gorgeous red coffee roaster that never fails to captivate any passer by’s curiosity and attention alluringly.

Coffee connoisseurs will be in their element here when enjoying its steamy creamy coffee and delicious food, freshly prepared from the kitchen. Not only do they emphasize on a hearty and salubrious meal, the coffee beans are even hand-roasted inhouse by Gilbert Kim.

Even it has its own brand stamped on the omega eggs from its supplier that is selectively chosen nutritionally!

A Korean native sajangnim (사장님) from Mok-dong that has been residing in Malaysia for nearly 10 years now, Gilbert is very passionate about coffee and cordially shared with us invaluable insights on his coffee roastery, why he is more in favour of non-dark roasted beans. And yes, agreeably, he surely got his point that served as my new food for thought instantly. Wow, am kinda bewildered with this newly acquired knowledge. Having said that, it also depends on individual’s preference as coffee is a very personal taste. So keep exploring guys!

Café OLLE coffee is roasted on site, so you know you are getting the absolute best and the freshest!

And while you observe the baristas at work, you cannot help but relax. This café oozes subtle charm; the inviting ambiance of the café, filled with rustic and urban décor incorporating warm hues. During this review session, we get to taste the brew from Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Kochere variety.

ICED CITRON AMERICANO (MYR11)
This inventive rendition surprisingly is very well-done! Refreshing and blends well with the americano that never cross my mind before. Daebak!

BAMBOO SALT CARAMEL (MYR 13)
Great! This is much friendlier palate wise compared to BAMBOO SALT LATTE (=

AFFOGATO (MYR 12)
Awesomely paired with a dollop of vanilla gelato and some chocolaty bites. Simply indulgent! (=

 Fancy a dip perhaps? ^_^

Accompanying the goodish cup of coffee is a menu offering a variety of scrumptious breakfast and lunch choices.

OLLE SIGNATURE BRUNCH (MYR 15)
Awesome plate of grubs especially the greek yogurt and balsamic vinegar dipping! Also get ready to be spiced up by the organically grown sweet luscious tomatoes!

GRILLED VEGETABLES and CHEESE WITH CIABATTA (MYR10)
Wholesome grilled veges treat that can convince even non-vegan folks. The secret lies in the homemade appetizing relish. Delicious!

SPAGHETTI MEATBALL MARINARA (MYR 14)
Chewy meatballs made inhouse that surely tickles your taste bud amusingly atop decently prepared pasta strips in freshly pureed tomato paste. Yum yum....

As for dessert, you could satisfy the sweet tooth in you from…………..

NUT CHEESECAKE (MYR 10)

BLACK & WHITE CHEESECAKE (MYR 10)

BROWNIES (MYR 8)

Apart from coffee menu, CAFÉ OLLE also caters for tea aficionados and offers an interesting range of selections. The flowers varietals are sourced from an acquaintance back in Seoul who also involved in exports to France as well.

MAGNOLIA FLOWER TEA (MYR 15)
Something which new compared to the usually daily consumed green tea.

BAEKWA FLOWER TEA (MYR 15)
A dainty pot of mixed flowers.

Ah, if you are seriously looking for cold brew coffee, you should try out their Cold Drip. According to Gilbert, an 8 hours patience of dripping process would be rewarded approximately with 3 to 4 bottles of exceptional single origin of premium Ethiopian beans.

Due to the heat-free leaching procedure, the produced coffee has lower acidity without the tannins, bitterness and astringency that you usually get from a hot and fast brew, while still extracting the chocolate, citrusy notes.

It has a very clean and fruity aftertaste profile! Joah! ♥ ♥
** Caramel is ready for novice like us, that's so thoughtful of Gilbert! (=

And if you are up for some funky attempts, you can go ahead with Gilbert’s creative idea of creating your personalized Guinness by adding 1 ounce of cold drip coffee and 1 pint of Tiger (beer). Personally am yet to find time trying it but definitely looking forward to it! =)

Thanks so much again for the hospitality and the coffee sharing session that surely has bettered up my noesis on these magical fragrant beans called coffee. Jeongmal gomawoyo and joenharu dweseyo!

A picture of the sweet couple! (✿◠‿◠) 다시 언젠가 만나고 싶습니다 !!

Cheers and Carpe Diem!
