Sarawak Laksa @ Food Republic


Glad to have found one at the nearby mall here, i.e. Sarawak Laksa. I have always wanted to try laksa but can’t really take Asam Laksa as it is much spicier, hehe. After all, this cousin of it fares pretty well toosmile

Contrary to the conventional laksa from the Pearl of Orient, this dish comes with decent thick curry gravy without any addition of ‘asam’. It’s more concentrated with the addition of coconut milk and so, is also fragrant in its own way. Besides from using normal noodle, it is then topped up with some chicken slices and prawns. The prawns are moderately juicy but the slices of chicken breast come as a good companion for they are able to soak up some curry gravy as you savour the laksa, which make it more delish.The bean sprouts are quite crisp and overall flavor is enhanced by the touch up of parsley. Of course, the dish is not complete without the in house sauce, which is bit spicey to me especially the brownish ‘belacan’. Anyhow, still thumbs up! ^_^
