Fahrenheit 600 @ Solaris Dutamas
Thanks to a
friend that introduces us to this cosy café with some warm ambience to
accompany especially at night. It was the weekend where my Penang buddy came
down for a short visit in KL, while anticipating for great epicurean adventure
:D
The set-up of
the interior is more to brick and vintage style, where you get to see pictures
of the famous oldies stars, gracefully hanging nicely on the wall. With some
dim light, it creates a soothing atmosphere which is perfect environment when
chilling out with friend, though it’s not very spacious. If you prefer to have
some privacy, then you may proceed to the further part of the café which is
nicely lighted up with some adorable candles surrounded by coffee beans.
They even
have the classic way of baking- Stone Oven! ^__^
Several types
of condiments for you to go along with you meal.
Fahrenheit
600 Pizza
When it comes
to catching up with friends, snacks is a definitely a no-no to be missed. And
for that, we go with the chef recommended pick, Fahrenheit 600 Pizza. It’s the
signature pizza by Fahrenheit 600 itself, at its name depicts, that is baked
with tomato sauce , eggplant, green peppers and my favourite, feta cheese! The
pizza is nicely done although it might appear to be slightly thick on the side.
But when you savor the pizza dough together with the sinful ingredients, it’s
definitely two thumbs up! The cheese is evenly melted across the bread with
bites of cheese still intact for you to enjoy soulfully. The tomatoes and
slices of capsicum do add some sweetness to it. This bakery is also pretty
unique with its very own square shape.
Latte
To accompany
along the meal, hot latte would be the pick! As the conventional good cup of
latte goes, it’s nicely adorn with some rosetta –shaped art design, on the
floating milk foam, for some visual effect :D The coffee aroma is agreeably
captivating and smells good, must be thanks to the good quality of coffee bean
used. If taken like that, one might feel bit bitter, therefore, could opt to
add in some brown sugar to tame the taste a bit :D Besides , the accompanied
less-sugar biscotti would also be able to spice it up.
Café
Mocha
Catching
up for a leisure weekend eve’s talk at this café is quite relaxing indeed. Best
if coupled with a cup of nice coffee such as the Café Mocha. Come in a delicate
glass, the top of the cuppa is being decorated with some floral design, on top
of the whitish milky foam. It is velvet and as you take a sip, the coffee aroma
soon blend in smoothly with the layer. You would then be able to enjoy some chocolatey
from the mocha amidst the coffee fragrance. Such a blissful moment :D
Long
Black
As
for this Long Black, definitely suited to those bolder and have a knack for
bitter coffee :P As its name depicts, it a type of coffee with fuller bodied
aroma and comes without sugar nor cream. So it is tad less sugary to me, unless
I add in some honey or cream. I suppose this range of coffee looks appealing
more to the gentlemen than ladies :D On the hindsight, this actually is the
best way of drinking coffee to really enjoy the good quality of brewing gourmet
coffee. Guess I should adopt this new idea in near time :D
Flat White
Initially I
was wondering what is this Flat White Coffee? It sounds to me like a smooth
kind of coffee with lots of milk. Therefore, add in another cart for that
beverage for the sake of our epicurean knowledge :D
True enough,
the milky cuppa does come ‘flatly’,
without any much hassle of art designing on the top :D Typically microfoam is
used in the preparation which also incorporates loosely frothed milk, that
gives this drink some bouncy appearance. This layer gives it a more
velvety in consistency, having
a higher proportion of coffee to milk.
It’s also said that making Flat White is more challenging from the usual
Café Latte. The milk is poured freely so that the foam is folded through the
whole drink and there is no discernable layer separation between liquid coffee
and foam. Thus, a good cup of Flat White requires a skilled barista to prepare
the espresso base correctly so that it would fold in with the milk, creating a
thin velvety layer of foam. It could be bite
bitter to the ladies, so you might want to add in some brown sugar :D
Bliss...........
