Christmas Party @ Nagaba, Jalan Mesui, Kuala Lumpur

What’s a better and more memorable way to round up your fruitful year on an upbeat note, other than throwing a joyous Christmas party with the evergreen folks around? And with this like-minded brains, the HGW team has come up with a Yuletide celebration, strategically held at Nagaba which is located at Jalan Mesui, one of the happening streets in town for nightlife entertainments that is popular to both local as well as tourists.

The building’s exterior wall, if observed from the side, is indeed artistically adorned with some paintings of famous faces, together with some abstract themes that resemble bits of graffitee works. It won’t be that hard to notice as you pass by the street since this particular Japanese-influenced set up, is occupying the first lot at the roadside. So it’s pretty noticeable with some lush green landscape that is further substantially enhanced with its warm spotlights at night.

The lounge is comfortably spacious which makes it an ideal venue for private event such as this. Environment is quite chill amidst some casual atmosphere, festively adorned with colorful balloons to liven up the tempo.

That night, everyone was treated with sumptuous spread of buffet feast, courtesy from The Good Batch, as well as free flow of wine and beer, by ground owner itself. Bet that surely comes as a real good news for booze lovers right? ^_^

Hohoho............. Toast for many happiness!

And also cheers for many cherish moments to behold........

Among the delectable choice that you could treat yourselves with are garden salad, mushroom soup with bread croutons, baked seabass (which happens to my top pick as I love fish dearly, hehe), thyme-grilled chicken, aglio olio mushroom spaghetti and last but not least, the chocolate passionfruit mousse as our dessert.

Awesome and splendid fête indeed!

Here you goes, the “Not-from-The Good Batch Kitchen series”………..

(I guess it suppose to mean that these recipes served at this party are not part of their usual menu? Hehe……)

Cream of Potato

Lollo Rosso, Frisee, Arugula and Baby Lettuce Salad

Good to go with Aceto Balsamico and Bread Croutons.

Aglio Olio with Wild Mushroom

Grilled Seabass and Tumeric

Grilled Chicken Thigh and Thyme

Chocolate Mousse and Passionfruit

I must say that the spaghetti was fantastically woofed up with sufficient spices, springily and deliciously paired with the tenderness of the savory chicken meat.

Not forgetting the sweet highlights, or rather low profile one; the Chocolate Passionfruit Mousse which was heavenly crafted and set to melt your heart with its smooth and velvety texture of the mousse. Can you imagine that I actually handled 3 to 4 cartes? :P Oooohhh…..so yummy and thumbs up!

And of course, not forgetting some refreshing drinks of Cranberry and Mango, alongside with Red Wine as well as White wine for everyone :)

Soon, the event was further spiced up with a Lucky Draw session that I even went home with a lucky food voucher from Bumba Gump! Guess Lady Luck was at my side that night I suppose……. ^_^

It’s definitely a heart-warming night with great people and good food. Also not forgetting the hospitality and warmth shown by the HGW team : ) Thanks a bunch guys!

Cheers!
