Homey Big Breakfast
Homey Big Breakfast
Having Big Breakfast
for brunch is pretty common nowadays, especially during the weekend. Rather
than being jam-packed with the rest of laid-back patrons, why not try making a
simple one at home, at your own comfort zone with no restrictions of the menu :)
Sounds pretty
cool right? I hope that somehow would motivate you to kick off one, perhaps on
one of these days ^_^ You could be as creative as you want, using only all of
your favourite picks, but of course do include veges in it for a balanced diet,
and tada, a hearty and nutritious food is served!
As for my
humble speedy recipe, below are the ingredients that I used.
They are
easily accessible in any groceries department, so there won’t be much issue in
getting them.
Time for some lill' sizzling session.
INGREDIENTS:
Servings for 2
A bundle of
lettuce
1 Multi Grain
and Seed Loaf (could be any wholemeal bread or baguette)
2 Viennase
Sausages
2 Smoked
Sausages
1 pack of
200g Baby Roma Clusters
100 g bacons
Optional:
2 Japanese
Sweet Potato Croquette (or hashbrown)
2 Omega-3 eggs
Steps:
1)
First
and foremost, just get everything cleaned and washed.
2)
The
only items that involves cooking/heating up are sausages and bacons. Of course,
the Purple Sweet Potatoes is optional.
3)
Heat
up the pan with some butter and pan fried each cold cut for about 8 minutes.
4)
Slightly
spread a thin layer of butter on the multi grain-seed bread and then toast for
3 minutes.
5)
To
impart some protein intake, Omega-3 eggs are then poached for about 5 minutes.
6)
Garnish
the plate as you wish and your homemade weekend brunch is ready!
Be sure to try it out, cheers! ^_^
Happy weekend folks!
