Manhattan Fish Market @ Pavillion KL, Bukit Bintang

The Best Deal In Town is back again!

And you could fish it at none other than the friendly neighbourhood fisherman wharf, The Manhanttan Fish Market.

Following this ‘deal-licious’ offers that only available from 27th to 28th March 2014 and 31st March till 4th April 2014, you get to enjoy from tempting seafood selection, dishes up via two cooking methods of your choice at 50% lesser than usual price!

Fish lovers especially would be tickled pink for an array of 4 types of juicy fish are up for grabs, namely, Dory, Cherry Snapper, Red Fish and the last but not least, Salmon! You could have them either fried or grilled; the former choice comes with a side of Chips (my fav!) and House Salad, and the latter would be slightly healthier; Mashed Potato and Hot Veggies.

As for our pick, we finally end up with Fried Dory and a Grilled version of Redfish with Salmon, after some quick deliberation during the ‘rush hour’ :)

To lessen our guilt, we choose to start with the grilled style of Redfish and Salmon. (Initially the Fried Dory isn’t in the plan as the third plate! Lolz…..)

Grilled Redfish (MYR 8.99)

Grilled Salmon (MYR 9.99)

Nicely parboiled broccoli and carrots as the accompaniment for both plates, along with creamy mashed potatoes smothered with some not-so-intense black pepper sauce. This lovely mashed tuber has always been my ducky, but the one prepared here is exceptionally enriched with more minced garlic, further accentuating the pungency.

Grilled Salmon meat is decently done as expected.

As for the Redfish, it is juicily sweet but the still-translucent looking meat makes it seems to be poached rather than grilled. I personally find it more enjoyable if it is slightly chargrilled, thus giving it some delightful oceanic smokiness, just like the Salmon. Anyway, it’s just my preference as no doubt, this carte serves as a goodish choice to have, particularly for those diet-conscious folks. So as an option, squeezing some lemon zest would do it good palatably.

Ah, here it comes the impromptu order of the Fried Dory!

Fried Dory (MYR 6.99)

Yeah, I would accord that this is a must-have whenever you drop by at MFM. Touted as its signature dish, the luscious meat of Dory speaks up for itself, even though it is fried till golden brown. Fillets remain crispy on the outside while remaining sweet and tender within, then drizzled with special Garlic Herb Sauce to complement it. The best part is the batter proportion is appropriately done, therefore reducing any unnecessary surfeit.

Overall, a comfy and casual environment to dine in. Much more vibrant during this limited time offer as every nook and corner is being adorned with colorful balloons and knickknack.

Guess that pretty sums up the sultry noon with these mocktail fizzes!

Gummy Bear (MYR 3.90)
Bluish beverage with exciting flavours of Curacao and tropical fruit mix.
(I was actually hoping some gummy bear jellies swimming in it ^_^ )

Cala Cala (MYR 3.90)
A cooling and citrusy sensation of Calamansi and fresh lemonade, said to be an island getaway in a glass, wow!

Well, March 2014 is coming to an end soon, but you still could catch this deal in town next Monday onwards till 4th April 2014, at your nearest participating MFM outlets. Hope you guys would enjoy your ‘sea-lection’ then :)
