Epiphany Coffee & Tobacco @ Oasis Square
Ah yes, seems
like this is another episode of coffee experience sharing of mine again. I was
in the vicinity of Ara Damansara one day after a training session on EQ of
Leadership skills. Alright, that aside and I thought why not try our this
rather newbie at Oasis Square since am already nearby, else I would not see
myself patronizing here often due to geographical distance, from Cheras, that
definitely would take a toll on me.
Prior to this
stopover, I have not heard much about this place, Epiphany Coffee & Tobacco, which is rather known for its trademark
of fully stocked tobacconist , that offers wide range of Roll-Your-Own (RYO)
tobacco products, cigars, snus and other tobacco accessories for its avid enthusiasts.
Anyway, am more
eager to try out its locally roasted Indonesian coffee beans by specialty
coffee roaster, The Flightless Mule Roasters. While waiting for my coffee to
arrive, I delve in my own comfort time observing the rather dimmed surrounding
that is humbly decorated with books and trinkets alike.
Caffe Latte (MYR 10)
A sip of the
coffee has me looking for some brown sugar to strike a balance to it.
Personally I feel that the cuppa is overly earthy and thick with its
magnificent fuller body taste, as compared to the rest I came across so far,
despite the fact that every cuppa served over here comes in double shot dosage.
I was then later being told that the Wega was having some issue on that day, so
guess it is partially responsible for this indirectly.
Iced Chocolate (MYR 11)
Rasberry Cheesecake (MYR 9)
Soon the
craving for sweet tooth get fixed with the arrival of this cheesy blueberry
cake. Somehow or rather, it doesn’t hold much surprise for me as I think the
creaminess and milkiness level is just average. Naturally, it doesn’t leave any
impactful of memories over here when it comes to enjoying dessert.
Hazelnut Orange Torte (MYR 9)
A rich chocolaty
cake coupled with crushed hazelnut bites to stimulate your taste bud.
Similarly, it appears to me as an average Joe due to the dry sponge cake layers.
After some
chit chatting with my soulmate since varsity days, we resume our vis-à-vis over
at Coffee ETC, which is located just
a few blocks from here, in hope of getting a much more satisfying kai.
Surprisingly, it doesn’t let us down but instead tickles our palate amusingly, which
you shall find out more at my humble sharing over here.
So is it that epiphanic after all?
Something to ponder upon while the session gets adjourned............
