LWIN LEE| FULLERTON HOTEL, MARINA BAY, SINGAPORE

This maiden trip to Singapore was a rather adventurous and fun one, as it was done really ad hoc, decided just, the night before, lol…

But I can’t help it to actually realize the dreams of celebrating Christmas at different places every year, as far as possible, for a unique experience to behold : )

Well, Singapore has long become one of the best tourist spot to spend the yearly Yule season, as we would be surrounded by various neon-lighted streets especially the famously told Orchard Road. But guess I would save that for some other time as the first night upon my arrival, we decided to walk around and slowly explore the majestic place at Fullerton Heritage.

The historical architecture is indeed very impressive and staying high majestically with its sparkling chandeliers dangling delicately as in beckoning you to stay longer. Various well-known luxurious boutique shops are easily accessible within a few steps from your radar diametrically.

Not too fancy of the concrete environment? Fret not, as you could then easily walk out to stroll along the street, which is overlooking the exclusive Marina Bay Hotel. The view is just breathtaking, innovatively concreted with a futuristic concept. It’s really such a relaxing moment to rest your worn out sinew, much more comforting when those cool air breeze brushes through your cheek.

Soon, as you proceed further up, you get to see the beautiful Merlion, standing tall and brightly lit up at the fountain. Comparatively, this signature trademark of Singapore seems to look more stunning at night than during day time. Of course, a coin also has two sides, so it very much depends on own preference.

Where would this stair lead up to?  (̑◡◗̑)⸝♡⃛⸜(̑◡◖̑)

While doing some brisk walking along the lakefront, we then stumble upon another sphere-shaped look-up point so called, where we could actually have a quieter place to have a closer look of Marina Bay. The tranquil surrounding is blissful as we enjoy the cool night sensuously without the crowd around. Call us lucky then!

At about 9pm, there is a daily laser lighting display, projecting from the top base of the Sands property itself. Sharp laser line patterns of blue, green, red, yellow and white colours, take turns to illuminate the lake at the front alternatingly, creating a sensational view, whilst accompanying by some melodious tunes. For a moment, it actually reminds me of the movie,  Alvatar, due to its striking blue hues lights too : )

The show then ended after some 30 minutes before our tummy start gnawing, reminding us that it’s time to settle down for some dinner. And so, there we go, treating out palate at JING, while feeling refreshed after some break earlier viewing the laser show.

Cheers and Carpe Diem!
