It was an early Friday morning that I reach Nu Sentral to
embark on my Malacca food trail trip. While waiting for “foodie partners in
crime”, Mr Cool and the rest, to reach KL Sentral, I think I might as well fill
up my tummy at Simply D, for a great
start of the day.
Comfortably spaced up for some privacy and complemented with vibrant and chirpy environment.
Since it’s a rare occasion I would actually woke up early
for breakie, I decided to try out their Breakfast Set this time, after pleasant
lunch experience at its other outlet located at AvenueK.
So I got myself this fluffy muffin with some bacon in it. Slurps!
TOASTED EGG MUFFIN
WITH CHEESE AND TURKEY BACON (MYR 6)
The muffin was a joy; fluffy and soft
sandwiching the still tad wobbly egg and my favourite cheese! Lying atop of them
all was the savoury turkey bacon. They were delish and reminded me of the
awesome Turkey Burger from The Meat Expert.

To complete your meal with a drink, top up another myr 4 or
myr 5 for a small or regular cup of coffee respectively. As for me, a hot brew
of Latte would be good enough, for I wish to save some space for more Malacca
delicacies to come.
Ah, before making a move, asked for a dessert to round up
the session quickly.
GREEN TEA AND
RASPBERRY CAKE (MYR 8)
It’s the same selection I had previously at Avenue K, comes with pillowy green tea
cake, covered with a thin layer of tangy raspberry cream. Somehow or rather, I think
the one served at the other mall tasted better in term of consistency wise. And
Mr Cool actually likened it to be tad sweet, so perhaps I should have chosen
the espresso version instead.
Anyhow, would leave that for another day and soon, the
journey to Malacca, city of heritage began. Can’t wait to share the foodie
trail soon for there had been some coincidental discoveries and
lucky encounters. So stay tuned!
