LWIN LEE | CHOI'S DON & DAK KOREAN BARBECUE @ KUCHAI ENTREPRENEURS PARK

Folks around Klang Valley now has a wider choice when it comes to dining dakgalbi conveniently without flying all the way to Chunchŏn.  Thanks to CHOI'S DON & DAK for cheering up the neighbourhood of Kuchai Entrepreneurs Park deliciously with its first of its combo kind that strikes a marriage between chicken and pork when it comes to this communal's favourite grilled dishes, galbi (갈비).

Having joining the Kuchai community recently for just nearly a month, business are doing briskly and is especially famous among families looking for a comfy place to dine. Enjoying dakgalbi and jumuluck galbi again relives back the fond memories when having mouthwatering samgyeopsal and miraculously meeting up with Dean-Jeff, two lively chingu from Seoul. Glad that nostalgic moment is temporarily cured by the yummy stir-fried marinated chicken dices by Grace, the friendly and graceful sajangnim of CHOI'S DON & DAK.

잘 먹겠습니다!!

Something new here- smoothly mashed potatoes! Delish!

DAKGALBI- MARINATED GRILLED CHICKEN (MYR 19.80 per pax)

The chicken cubes here are cooked in gochugaru (Korean Chili Flakes) instead of the usual gochujang paste to create a different textured nuance and somewhat drier version. Loads of crisp sliced cabbage, sweet ptoato, spring onions, carrots and tteok (rice cakes) are added in to spiced up that flavourful dakgabi.

During the stir-frying process using sunflower oil for a healthier fare, the chicken meats aren't a bit dry but remain juicily flavourful, for they have been marinated for 1 hour beforehand with inhouse secret recipe that includes homemade sauce that draws natural sweetness from apple and pear. On top of that, milk is used during the handling process that results in a much tender meat.

Yeah, isn't it lovely?? ^_^

JUMULUCK- MARINATED GRILLED PORK (MYR 22.50 per pax)

Deliciously grilled pork meat on the huge hot pan using varieties of fresh ingredients similar to dakgalbi, with additional items such as pumpkins and onions in gochujang (Korean Pepper Paste). Not too spicy and definitely tasty and alluring even when it's still cooking up in a storm that emits the saliva-triggering fragrant smokiness.

Both hot pan grilled meat can be further zest up with add ons that includes assorted mushroom, mozzarella cheese, rice cake, ramyun, assorted sausage and Korean Udon, starting from MYR 6 onwards.

Like it with cheese? Wanna make it your own pizza style? There you go!

BOKEUMBAP- FRIED RICE WITH DRY LAVER (MYR 9.80)

One of the popular dishes back in Korea, bokeumbap, is cooked using sesame oil for that added kick at Choi's don & Dak! A slight variation from our usual oriental twist, this Korean fried rice is cooked till it's slightly browned at the side for that addictive crispiness that blossoms into more a much more appealing aroma with the addition of seaweed, my fave! Am fine to do away without spam, but won't decline it either if it's offered in the menu too(=

우와, 너무 맛있어요 !!

KOREAN RAMYUN (MYR 12)

And i love to have it with the homemade kimchi by사장님, mashita!

KOREAN JJAPAGHETTI (MYR 8)

Slurp-worthy version of tradition Jjajang Myeon. Flavourful and delightfully drenched with adequate savory sauce.

Ah, these fantastic mocktail chillers just come in time to wash down the throat after a scrumptious feast!

VIRGIN COLADA (MYR 7.50)

NOJITO (MYR 7.50)

CLASSIC SHIRLEY TEMPLE (MYR 6.50)

or even a glass of cooling ICED PEACH TEA (MYR 6.50)

The menu's mainly are honest and homely fare that are firmly rooted in culinary tradition but flowering with contemporary creativity. Love the spacious and airy environment, not forgetting its cutesy 'hallmark autograph' where satisfied customers could drop his or her message on the white wall- marker pens are provided, or even adorn the wall with artsy cartoons expressions.

And there you go, my personal humble 'love letter' to CHOI'S DON & DAK on the bright yellow background! (Of course i have seek consent earlier from Grace before choosing the non-white base for a more gleeful chrome, hehe)

So, the next time you're nearby Kuchai Lama, do pop over to savour the yummy 'Choice of Don & Dak' here, be it Choi's tantalizing dakgalbi (chicken) or dwelgi-galbi (pork) for both are equally awesome! Try it out soon guys................
