LWIN LEE | KINJUKU JAPANESE RESTAURANT @ DATARAN C180, CHERAS SELATAN
The moment I set foot to this new neighbourhood of C180, it instantly reminds me of the familiar al fresco designs at Sunway Giza as well as Setiawalk Puchong. They might not be from the same developer, but somehow or rather, the open air, placid and windy environment really mellows me out and easily unwinds any souls who patronize there especially after a day of hectic schedule.
Little
did I know that there are indeed many hidden gems humbly beckoning to be
noticed by the wider folks of Klang Valley such as the sakura-themed
eatery- Kinjuku Japanese Restaurant.
Customary
Japanese décor accents, complimented with a contemporary ambiance defines the
interior set up of Kinjuku along with shioji wall and Bijinga
paintings for some serene aesthetics. For those who prefer some privacy, diners
could choose to dine in comfortably on tatami at the washitsu upon
prior reservation for the VIP room.
Some brief notes of
Kinjuku Restaurant’s history:
Kinjuku Restaurant was founded in
year 1994 in Shimabara town, Japan. The word KINJUKU was translated from the
Japanese word, which was named in conjunction to the founder, Chef Kinjuku
Takahashi.
Chef Kinjuku has more than 30 years
in Japanese cuisine. Kinjuku Restaurant in Shimabara, Japan, is primarily
serving fresh sashimi, sushi and sake to the local. Ingrained with inspiration
from Chef Kinjuku Takahashi, Malaysia’s Kinjuku menu has been slightly modified
to suit the local palate and demands, withal the original recipe and
spirit of Chef Kinjuku remain unchanged.

decorated with traditional Japanese interior design theme. Most of the décor
embellishments such as Shoji door, lanterns, lightings and et cetera, are
purposely imported from Japan to provide Malaysian customers with true
authentic Japanese dining ambiance.
