LWINLEE | SALAD PLUS.CO @ QUIZINN FOODCOURT, NU SENTRAL MALL

After a spate of rejuvenating visits to salubrious counter at Salad Atelier as well as Salad Bar from Avenue K and Citta Mall respectively, it has since changed my mindset on how interesting and delicious a salad bowl could actually be, far from the ubiquitous dull serving way in the good old days. And as such, am indeed thrilled when another earnest establishment has sprouted out over here at Nu Sentral Mall.

One of the latest salad joint in town which offers a healthy yet toothsome selections of salad and sandwiches that could be paired with other proteins like Cajun chicken, tuna, smoked salmon as well as grilled veggies, not forgetting to mention its simple yet delish  homemade yogurt delights. Glad to learn that most of the meats are either baked, grilled, steamedor pan-fried with minimal oil.

It’s pretty easy to locate Salad Plus due to its strategic location which is just right upon entrance to Quizinn Foodcourt, making it convenient for customers to find it without much hassle.

Patrons can choose to either dine inside the enclave or select a brighter space with equally casual atmosphere at the adjacent area.

Such a vibrant and wholesomely beckoning salad counter, offering medley of sides and toppings to go along with your salad. Oh, do you know that you could also design your salad bowl by personalizing it with your favourite salad accompaniment. Talking about building your own salad bowl, reminds me of the crisp greens from The Built too, hehe.

Option A: 2 base ingredients + 5 standard ingredients = MYR 8.50
Option B: 2 base ingredients + 5 standard ingredients + 2 premium ingredients = MYR 11.00
Option C: 2 base ingredients + 5 standard ingredients + 2 premium ingredients + 1 protein = MYR 16.50

Otherwise, you could also go with the suggested recipes as recommended in the menu too. On top of that, there are also decent selections of warm Asian dishes that will tickle your taste bud further and more nutritiously.

Let’s have a quick rundown of what to expect from this salubrious stall.

BROWN RICE WITH STEAM VEGETABLES & CHICKEN RENDANG (MYR 9.90)
I like the idea of using brown rice here for the better nutritional intake- thumbs up!
Served affordably with delicious and flavorful chunky chicken meat thoroughly marinated in Asian spice, to complement the hearty plate of carbs that have given a healthier twist to it- no coconut milk is used in the curry but yet remain convincingly enough with the captivating spice flavours that somehow still retain that alluring creaminess.

For the fan of wrapppos, here you go some of the option available. Personally I would think this version is more filling, suitable for those who need to fill in the tummy on the go.
Mission's Spinach wrap is used here, for the added subtle flavor of the green, that tastes even better after being slightly toasted.
