Kai’s Plato @ Kota Kemuning

Perhaps too soon for another round of seafood fiesta after the recent dining experience at Just Seafood? But for any true blue seafood lover, this shouldn’t be any issue! No? (=

This seafood galore initially first embarked at Kota Damansara area- adjacent to Encorp The Strand and next to Cascades, back in February 2015 by a group of partners who are also a self-proclaimed foodies, seafood fans particularly. Together these bunch of lively souls aim to provide a comfortable environment for the local folks to indulge in seafood feast, so much so as they do.

Response from the crowds was very encouraging since then and now, they have launched its second branch at Kota Kemuning neighbourhood.

The second outlet of Kai’s Plato was only a month’s old when we attended its Grand Launch at graced by its bubbly founders and other invited guests as well. The celebration was full of merriment and gaiety, exuberantly felt and filled with camaraderie of those who were present during the event.

They are famous for their specialty- steamed seafood assortment in several tiers, besides coming up new menu would be the on-table serving concept where all diners were to enjoy the seafood with their hands, as this would encourage more communication and interaction among family members and friends. Otherwise, am pretty sure the hands would be busy on those smartphones huh? :P

Some in-time kind words reminder by Kai’s Plato (=

“ Kai’s Plato concept “Hands and Table” was simply to enjoy and eat with our hands as they are the best utensils we have for eating seafood, by using our hands we can touch and feel the different types of seafood and shellfish in the platter. The trend now is that everyone from young to old are too engaged into their cell phones that they sort of forgotten the importance of communicating with each other.  When their hands are busy cracking and picking up the seafood, their cell phones can have a rest and they can start engaging into conversations with others at the table. That is why we want to build back the moment of conversations among families and friends during dinning at Kai’s Plato.”

Let’s get the feasting mood started with some appetizers first, shall we? (=

Kai’s Seafood Platter comes in tiers, the first few top tiers are filled with succulent seafood and the last tier is Kai’s aromatic seafood soup. The best way to enjoy the seafood platter is by eating tier-by-tier, start off with the top tiers of the seafood and then only savour the aromatic seafood soup to complete the meal.

Seafood is sourced from both local and also around the world, such as Korea, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, Indonesia and more. They pride themselves in being able to offer fresh seafood to the customers without compromising on the quality of the seafood.
