LAKE TEKAPO MOTEL & HOLIDAY PARK @ TEKAPO, NEW ZEALAND

  

Prior to this maiden trip to New Zealand, we were hankering on the idea of waking up to a splendid lake view upon us? As such, we made a booking at the Lake Tekapo Motel & Holiday Park without much hesitation.

The environment was really cozy and surrounded by lush greenery, not forgetting the Tekapo Lake of course! It really makes a perfect destination for any shutterbugs as every nook and corner bearing nice view is just within walking distance, for instance the famous Church of The Good Shepherd and Tekapo Footbridge. And if you’re hungry and looking out for food, there are several restaurants and eatery premises nearby and amongst them is Tin Plate Kitchen & Bar.

We choose the motel for 2 pax- so that we get to enjoy the privacy as well as due to its strategic location which is directly overlooking the lake view like what we wanted, only that you need to walk down a little bit as the motel is located at a slightly heightened up land.

Bed and pillow were soft and comfortable, with a private kitchen built-in. Will be good if we have the chance to cook something simple for breakfast in bed, if not due to our hectic schedule during this short getaway which left us with not much time. I think on average, we only spent a night in each city, haha.

Nevertheless, we count our blessings as we were able to see so much natural beauty of this country has to offer, that encourages us to keep walking in search for various scenic spots without feeling tired but gets more and more enthusiastic instead, so it’s a good form of exercise in a way (=
