THE WILLIAMS WOOLSHED @ WILLIAMS, PERTH

Welcome to The Williams Woolshed!

The Williams Woolshed is a family operated business located 150km South East of Perth, Western Australia. The Woolshed is a great location to stop off with friends and family as you make your way through the Great Southern Region- in our case when enroute to Albany from Perth City. It definitely seems like the better way to ensure the body is decently refreshed as the journey easily takes up 5 hours of driving and the many straight roads leading to the town is somehow sleep-promoting especially when cruising under hot sun :D So, better to stay safe and alert if you plan to drive for a long journey yeah.

So how do we come to know about this little lovely place? Thanks to our amigo, Steve, who is currently residing in Denmark whom we would be paying a visit at his splendid vineyard the day after the next day. Since driving in tiredness is certainly a no-no, more so when you are in other country, we adamantly heed Steve’s advice to stop awhile at this recommended café before driving to Albany.

The Williams Woolshed comprises of retail stores and a 100+ seat café and is open 7 days a week from 8am to 4pm. There is a great variety of retail stores located here at the Woolshed, where you could take your time leisurely walking through the 6 different stores from clothing shop which stocks the latest woolen and cotton brands, through to gift and kitchenware. Besides that, they also have a dedicated Kitchen Larder that stocks local produce that you can take home with you.

Or……. You could head over to their brisk café counter for some toothsome bites order! (=

Arriving slightly half passed noon from Adelaide Terrace in Perth City, the idea of having brunch still valid I guess, hehe.

CLASSIC BACON & EGG (AUD 16.90)
A hearty plate consisting 2 freshly toasted breads, lightly pan-heated tomatoes, wobbly sunny side up, 2 cubes of Western Star butter (oh, I loveeee em’!) and last but not least their gorgeous slices of juicy bacons that were so divine that I could easily clear them all up by myself! Different from the usual bacons which I commonly have back at my city in Kuala Lumpur, the bacons here is sliced and prepared in such a way that gives a different texture, much bouncier palate then the ubiquitous streaks or strips type. So yeah, I love it very much especially when the meat is still rather lean, thumbs up!!

CHAMOMILE TEA (AUD 4.60)
Some warm hot tea to calm down my gnawing and bloating tummy which has been drumming earlier, haha.

BERRY CHEESECAKE & COFFEE PROMOTION (AUD 9)
Indulgent slice of my fave nosh- cheesecake!
Coincidentally, there’s a special deal of the day, and hence, grabbed it without any second thoughts!

Lovely cheesecake that is really dense, divinely crafted with bits of citrusy berries, simply moreish!

So after the quick grubs, it’s time to resume the remaining journey of 2 hours to Albany. But of course, some snapshots of the quaint enclave before leaving it vividly inside our ‘heart-disk’!

Cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for more ‘food-ful’ discoveries! ❤ℒℴѵℯ❤
And our travel journey continues....................
