Albany YHA @ PERTH, WA
After the tummy is adequately filled up with earnest food
from Williams Woolshed, without further
ado we resume our next 2 hours journey so that we could reach Albany while it’s
still broad day light for some quick sigh seeing- quietly we wished in our
heart :)
But before that, we went to check in our staycation for that
day at Albany Bayview Lodge YHA before
the evening kicks should we exceed our leisure strolling time- I mean that
could easily happens to any shutterbugs right? Hehe…...
Using GPS, the lovely hostel is easily located and I would
say in a strategic way too, where it is in historic part of the town, local
eateries as well as architecture like church. All these certainly seems pretty good
news for any camera enthusiast, hence we need to make hays while the sun shines
as we were told sunset does take place earlier in WA like 6pm compared to our
homeland in Kuala Lumpur.
Candid encounter where these uniquely shaped flora nearly tricks me into thinking them are yummy corn that has been chargrilled, haha...... Yea, yea, i know that i'm hungry all the time :D |
Albany Bayview Lodge
YHA is actually a self check in and check out hostel, where guests would
receive specific instructions on how to get the room keys few days prior to
your arrival. It’s pretty convenient to locate the building, just identify the
unit with colorful mural or its beautiful castle-like front house compartment.
It actually reminds me of those Disney princess fairy tale stories, hehe.
We had booked a Twin room just a month earlier for AUD 74. Oh,
did I mention this is another ad hoc trip almost similar to what transcend back
in New Zealand trip last year? Well, they are both in May, which is also my
birthday month that I wish would be great if could spend some momentous time in
conjunction of my natal day. And for this year particularly, it coincides with
the heart-pounding general election time of our country that took place ad
hocly just on the eve of my birthday as well as my flight day! Haha…….. but
thank god, everything went smoothly.
The accommodation comes with a laid back atmosphere and well
equipped with basic amenities that are reasonably priced. Just some leisurely 3
minutes’ stroll from York Street where you will find shops, bars, cafes and
restaurants, including easy access to many other Albany tourist attractions
whether on foot or by car.
Kitchen was spacious and comfortably welcoming, neat and
offer decent breakfast, where you could help yourself with a simple toast, jam
and coffee to be enjoyed at their aesthetic wooden communal dining room.
Apart from that, I’m also
kind of amazed on how tidy the bathroom and washroom are. Simply spick and
span!
So remember the next time when trying to find Albany Bayview Lodge YHA, do look out for
the amazing mural on the side of the building, along with blue flags and white picket
fence at the end of Duke Street- that would do pretty much helps (=
Cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for more ‘food-ful’
discoveries! ❤ℒℴѵℯ❤
And our travel journey continues....................
