GREENS POOL @ WILLIAM BAY NATIONAL PARK

               

After relishing in amazing Lao food at Gin Lao, we soon arrived at the intended destination after some 30 minutes’ drive away. So Greens Pool it was!

Thank God the evening sun was still merciful to us by still leaving behind some traces of golden rays prior to twilight. The surrounding seems to have turned into a golden piece of land when bathing in the comforting sunbeam- bliss!

Greens Pool

Located just 15km to the west of Denmark is where the turquoise paradise is nestling. One of Western Australia’s iconic beaches, Greens Pool is a must see destination which is almost completely sheltered from the waves by the rounded rock boulders of the Great Southern, making it one of the best and safe place in the region for swimming, diving, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling, bushwalking and fishing.

Greens Pool lies on the edge of William Bay National Park and is famous for its turquoise green waters and pristine white sandy beach. Large granite boulders surround the pool, protecting it from the might of the Great Southern Ocean.

No wonder this pool makes divine spot for children young and old especially during summer, due to its gradually safe, sloping rock formations cut that comes with small crevasses and pools. The wave-less waters make it easy to spot multitudes of sea creatures if you are into snorkeling or a perfect shelter to enjoy a wind-free day at the beach.

It’s actually also just a short walk links to the Elephant Cove & Rocks which boasts huge rounded rock boulders touted resembling those mammals. You would notice the gradual slope, allowing children as well as folks of all ages to experience the ocean in a safe and comfortable environment. So yeah, up next would be the mystical Elephant Rocks of Denmark!
