CAPE LAVENDER TEAHOUSE @ YALLINGUP, WA

What comes next was rather unplanned, but still remained a pleasant serendipity and also a dainty one- especially for all lovers of Lavender!
After a fun and fulfilling coffee appreciation session at Yahava Koffeeworks earlier, we decided to drop by this quaint little cottage that is full of lovely flowers to reignite the floral sense!

It was literally full of lavenders everywhere that made this place the perfect pit-stop to indulge all kind of lavenders-inspired bakeries and desserts! Not forgetting the various types of creative products that were passionately created with love and warmth.
Cape Lavender Teahouse!
This understatedly enchanting sanctuary is just a short 5 minutes’ drive away from Yallingup, from the renowned wine region of Margaret River.
Over here, a lovesome spread of tea time delights awaiting patrons, ranging from their famous traditional Devonshire Teas, where a choice of delicious homemade scones are paired with fruit preserves with a hint of lavender and double whipped cream, or a cup of locally fine roasted coffee.

Just found out about this aesthetic term as well (=
A Devonshire tea, also known as a Devon cream tea, Cornish cream tea or simply cream tea, is a form of afternoon tea light meal which consists of tea taken with a combination of scones, clotted cream, and jam. This way of enjoying tête-à-tête session is a norm back in European or any Commonwealth countries.
However, some countries do have some regional differences as to how the scone should be dressed and eaten. The Devon method is actually to split the scone in two, cover each half with clotted cream and then add strawberry jam on top, In Devon the method is to split the scone in two, cover each half with clotted cream and then add strawberry jam on the top. Whipped cream and any other jam flavour is not usually acceptable and milk should be taken in your tea.
However in Cornwall’s way, which seems to be the Australian way mostly adopted at 99.9%, scones are split in two, then spread with jam and topped with clotted cream.
