TRAVEL | PERTH DAY 7 @ AUSTRALIA

While we just concluded the Day 6 diary, we are now good to march on the momentum towards the completion till the ninth day. Just at the thought of it, already gets me pretty excited about it for I’m really looking forward to keep sharing the many picturesque and scenic spot that this Western part of Australia got to offer.
And to begin with, let’s kick start the day with great oomph from the good java over at the esteemed Coffee Roastery in Margaret River region before we proceed further to
YAHAVA KOFFEEWORKS @ MARGARET RIVER WA
After a comfy snuggly slumber the night before at WallCliffe Homestay, it’s time to continue the journey exploring the remaining session of what MR region has to offer, before departing for Busselton.
And so, we actually come across this caffeine hideout rather impromptu as the initial plan of visiting some vineyards don’t turn out as expected- due to time limitation as the land of Margaret River is much  vast then what we thought. Guess have to put off this plan slightly later in next trip, hopefully in not so distant future (=
To our pleasant surprise, Yahava KoffeeWorks offers complementary coffee workshop for caffeine enthusiasts to further delve, grasp better understanding on the these green cherries. There will be a barista to guide us through the cupping session. To some it might be a bittersweet session, but those who has acquired taste appreciation on the myriad coffee beans roasted with various recipes- is indeed a gem and enlightening moment to behold.
So what have the folks at Yahava KoffeeWorks got up their sleeve here? Check it out here.
CAPE LAVENDER TEAHOUSE @ YALLINGUP, WA
After a fun and fulfilling coffee appreciation session at Yahava Koffeeworks earlier, we decided to drop by this quaint little cottage that is full of lovely flowers to reignite the floral sense!
It was literally full of lavenders everywhere that made this place the perfect pit-stop to indulge all kind of lavenders-inspired bakeries and desserts! Not forgetting the various types of creative products that were passionately created with love and warmth. Check out the menu here.
CANAL ROCKS @ YALLINGUP, WA
As we continued the journey around the rest of Yallingup area, I brought along the Lavender cone that was still nice to me for not melting out fast. So I practically carried it along as pillow and I resume our coastal venture on foot as the famous spot- Canal Rocks was just nearby Cape Lavender Tea House.
Canal Rocks is made up of a series of beautiful granite outcrop that is part of the rugged Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park in the Indian Ocean, which is just off the coast situated approximately 4km south of Yallingup in the South West region of Western Australia. This place is well known and excellent for fishing activities and scenic bushwalking, about 3 hours’ drive from the south of Perth.
Just felling head over heels with the serenity of the pounding waves here.
CAPE NATURALISTE LIGHTHOUSE & MEELUP BEACH @ DUNSBOROUGH, WA
Time was really tickling fast as we were rushing to catch the golden view of Busselton Jetty before sunset entirely took over.
A quick glimpse of Naturaliste Lighthouse from afar which we did not have the luxury of time to laze bit longer. Nevertheless, we were grateful that we managed to visit Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse in Augusta (Day 5 Itinerary). Guess that shall make it up for now, hehe.
Personally if you asked me, I think the latter architecture was much more spellbinding due to higher height I supposed, that allowed it to give a better and wider birds’ eye view of the ocean?
BUSSELTON JETTY @ GEOGRAPHE BAY, BUSSELTON, PERTH
Busselton Jetty is the longest wooden piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere, located in beautiful Geographe Bay. The first section of the jetty was opened in 1865 and has been numerously extended to its current length of 1,841 metres! Hmm, and now I wonder would it even got elongated again. I don’t mind to walk further, hehe.
At the end of the jetty is one of only 5 Underwater Observatories (UWO) in the World!
Do bear in mind there are some uneven surface along the jetty. As such, care must be taken at all times especially if you are travelling with elderly or the young persons, whom ought to be accompanied along.
There is also a leisure ride that could be taken on the Jetty Train from the Interpretive Centre to the UWO at a nominal fee. The Busselton Jetty is currently operated by a non-profit community organisation known as Busselton Jetty Inc and thence, proceeds from ticket sales contribute to jetty maintenance and conservation.

WANDER INN BUNBURY BACKPACKERS@ BUNBURY, PERTH

It was a decently simple crib, equipped with the basic amenities. The only challenging things for us were the shared bathroom was some few steps away outside into the adjacent building, haha. So imagine if you’re there during the winter with the chilling wind came blowing by, must be fantastic huh? Hence, most of the time I just merely tip-toed into the ladies at a pretty fast speed too :D
Accommodation over here also having breakfast included. So I just made a simple tri-flavoured toast before we checked out and headed over to nearby attraction of Bunburry.
RIGHT ON BURGERS @ BUNBURY, PERTH
More stories here: http://bit.ly/RightOnBurgers
We were rather relieved to see more street lamps were still alighted rendering the streets bright with more safe feeling compared to previous township which closed pretty early, whereby street lights were mostly off and at some corner was rather pitch-black. With tall trees at the side dancing gracefully when wind blew and you can’t see anything much- that didn’t really help when imagination started to go wild, oh man :D ……………

It was a relief to see such bright town as Bunburry that was still very much crowded and lively during the later day. So as we walked and bumped into Right On Burgers at one of the shop, without much hesitation so we went in for a quick fix.
Time passed real fast when you’re enjoying such a wonderfully tranquil moment. Without realizing, the day had turned dark pretty fast and this means it’s time for us to head back to our crib downtown- which was nearly an hour away. We will be sharing out Day 8 carefree itinerary soon!
Cheers for now and follow us at Carpe Diem for more ‘food-ful’ disco
