ONLY MYR10 SPECIAL BENTO PROMO SET @ BENTOYA, SUNWAY VELOCITY MALL!!

I was doing my groceries when stumbled upon this casual Japanese dining restaurant (via a given leaflet at the mall) that is located at the 4th Floor of Sunway Velocity Mall. Coincidentally, they are having a special promo for ALL OF ITS BENTO at only MYR10 for just a limited period of time from 10th- 16th August 2020!

Hence, I went to check it out out of curiosity and was delighted. Guess what? They are also selling ramen and with porky char siew too- awesome! I wasn’t aware of this establishment as my usual go-to place is at LG for my groceries and other dining outlets at other floors inclusive of Go Noodle House, Bungkus Kaw Kaw, HDL, Nanyang Café and other places, especially the al fresco at Level 1 (same level as Family mart) where after you walked further out, you shall see more restaurants of which mostly are of Oriental cuisine. Perhaps this level 4 was way too high thence I yet to explore much. Anyway, guess it’s not too late now as well as timely to try out the irresistibly cool deal in town!

So dine-in guests are allowed to choose any Bento selections on the top- seems a total of 11 various menu for you to choose from. Each set comes with a complimentary glass of Iced Lemon Tea- options to go with or without ice.

The Signature Bentoya Bento (NP MYR27.90)
Comes heartily with crisply fried prawn tempura, kaarage, gyoza, char siew fried rice, mushroom sausage carbonara and a morsel of kimuchi.

Of all, the karaage or Japanese fried chicken cutlets caught my attention with its light and fluffy coating that was done just right, not too thick and without being neither over dense nor doughy. Thumbs up!

Fried rice was ‘woked up’ smokily good with the essential ‘wok hei’, and some bites of minced char siew to complement the whole dish.

Spicy Seafood Bento (NP MYR 24)

Curry Katsu Bento (NP MYR 22.90)

Special Salmon Fried Bento (NP MYR 22.90)

Teriyaki Salmon Bento (NP MYR 22.90)
Any fish lover would be thrilled over this toothsomely quick-oil fried salmon fillet before drizzled with Teriyaki sauce for savoury. Personally, I think the fresh fillet was already good on its own. Oishi indeed!

Overall, the food was pleasantly tasty and fresh, despite having promo whereby the quality was not compromised and portion was indeed generous. Now that I realized there’s actually a porky ramen shop at the top floor, I’m already eyeing for another return for its array of ramen which looks rather promising. So if you’re nearby, do check it out fast!
**Only available for dine-in, available all-day long
