ENGI PATISSERIE 緣起@ TAYNTON VIEW, CHERAS
We
stumbled upon this patisserie by chance when we were looking for the fish
noodle that we once used to have here at Cheras prior to the pandemic. However,
guess the location as either changed or business ceased as the shop no longer
there. And that’s when I saw Engi Patisserie as we were making few rounds to
ascertain the location.
So it
was the “patisserie” wording that gotten my attention. Otherwise, I wasn’t
aware of the shop with its humble signboard but thanks to the culinary ID,
I sort of felt convinced that it should be offering some decent French
pastries. And there it goes…………………..
Engi Mont
Blanc (MYR 21)
Japanese
chestnut-centric dessert with layers of chestnut cream, vanilla cream, cassis
and the whole chestnut itself.
Usually I’m
not a big fan of creamy stuff. In fact, I’ve tried similar French gateau from
other brands but it’s tad cloying to me. However, surprisingly found it rather
pleasant one over here. Ingredients seems to be well-proportioned hence
rendering an overall refreshing palate without being overly sweet nor creamy, Yumz!

with Peach (MYR 16)
With slight
fruity hint of peach syrup
That’s
about it before adjourned to another cuppa spot! ^^
