LWIN LEE| U-CAFÉ @ SUNGEI WANG PLAZA (SG. WANG), JALAN SULTAN ISMAIL, KUALA LUMPUR
U-Café, another sprouting eatery at Golden Triangle that boast to host a
whole new dining experience with its creative fusion concept that blends in
Malaysians’ favourite with the West. It’s located strategically on the right(next
to Old Town Kopitiam) when coming out from Sungei Wang main entrance.
Set forth with a chic and
sleek interior, this Eastern-Western marriage café offers a delectable yet
mouth-watering range of tasty rendition ranging from local favorites to cross
Pan-Asian fusion such as Flying Fish Pineapple Fried Rice, Soft Shell Crab
Pasta, Fried Koay Teow and many more.
First to start off our
preview of the new menu that night was a delectable spread of cold plates that
were gorgeously dressed up in sparkling margarita glasses accompanied by assorted
finger bites.
Appetizers entree inclusive
of crudites-ideal for party dips, salmon and prawns salads elegantly served in
tall glasses.
Fabulous plat du jour!
Tropical Fruit Punch to combat the intense KL
heat with a hint of asam boi’s tang.
Coming up next, the mains
got ushered out dishes after dishes.
COMBO PLATTER (MYR 30)
Potato wedges, French
fries, Vietnamese Mini Spring Roll and Fish Fillet readily served with 3
special dipping namely Strawberry, Peppered Mustard and Tartar Sauce with the
first two are inhouse-crafted.
DECONSTRUCTED CAESAR SALAD (MYR 11.90)
Various leafy greens
dressed in balsamic vinegrette and served with preserved anchovy on a bed of
crispy toasatie.
DEEP FRIED SALMON WITH GREEN MANGO SALAD (MYR 15.90)
This plate was rather
appetizing that triggers palate-opening with the med-sourish julienned mango and
the juicy salmon sliced which pleasantly not overly deep fried.
SPAGHETTI TERIYAKI CHICKEN (MYR 20.90)
Succulent chicken meats
were thoroughly marinated to go along with the al dente cooked pasta. However,
the sauce was rather too sweet for me.
SPAGHETTI AGLIO OLIO WITH SEA SCALLOP (MYR 30.90)
PINEAPPLE SEAFOOD FRIED
RICE (MYR 15.90)
Each grain of rice was
fried just nice till golden, adequately flavoured with spice and achieve that
essential bouncy texture.
VEGETARIAN BEAN CURD RICE (MYR 11.90)
FLYING FISH RICE WITH SOY SAUCE (MYR 17.90)
PENANG CURRY LAKSA (MYR 14.90)
Highly recommended with its sweet oceanic broth.
Highly recommended with its sweet oceanic broth.

SALMON FILLET(MYR 39.90)
