Three Little Pigs & The Big Bad Wolf @ Tropicana City Mall, Petaling Jaya
Three Little Pigs
& The Big Bad Wolf…………
Three Little Pigs
& The Big Bad Wolf…………
Yeah, I like to
rhyme it that way whenever being asked by friends around where do hunt for good
food or rather any decent place to eat at Tropicana City Mall. Somehow, I feel
related to it for this cutesy name actually unveils the kiddie in me and
reminds me of those many adorable childhood song! Hehe……
Nonetheless, the
restaurant adopts a chic trend du jour, where you would see swanky and sleek
design with glassy dangling light bulbs against artificial red bricks, contrary
to its cartoonish names :) The place is quite spacious and airy too, with
effective customer service by the restaurant crew.
Hey, Michael Jackson was here too! Saw it? :P
However, on that
very day itself, we were told that the machinery used to make the pasta or
prepare the lasagna was down, and so, we had to forgo out earlier preference,
which is pasta selection as well as my Cranberry White Chocolate, with a heavy
heart : (
And so we had to
settle down with one of their mains; burger, as our secondary choice.
Wild Mushroom Soup (MYR
15)
As cliché had it
in every American cuisine, a bowl of creamy and velvety mushroom soup naturally
made it an ideal choice to kick off as
starters splendidly. The mushroom aroma was enjoyably intense and I simply love
it. And you also get to chew on the small bites of those wild mushroom too. Oh
by the way, did I tell that it was also drenched with truffle oil, besides
serving with toasted croutons cubes and a slice-garnishing by arugula? Yum
Yum….
Bacon and Egg Croquette (MYR 15)
Coming up next
before the arrival of the entrée was the Bacon and Egg Croquette. This
appetizers came as coarsely mashed potato, mixed with crispy fried bacon and
creamy egg filling. These fried balls were crispy on the exterior skin, while
remaining soft in the inside. You got to tickle your taste buds with the humble
amount of chopped smoky bacon in the mixture. Nonetheless, I personally think
the aggregated minced ingredients were rather too quaggy and bland, if not
without the bacons. It was thus appeared moderately appealing to me but the
accompanied orangery dipping was great. Couldn’t be really sure if it was a
mixture of chillie sauce with mayonnaise or thousand island.
The Big Bad Burger (MYR 32)
Eventually, the
main course found its way to our table, woof woof! : )
Juicy pork patty
was sandwiched by two fluffy burger buns, layered with smoked pork bacon,
cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber and juicily doused with hickory smoked BBQ
sauce, and served with chips and its house salad. The meat patty was nicely marinated with some herbish aroma, came bit bouncy and chewy. This particular fare had unleashed the
carnivore in us and was enough to feed petite gastronome
heartily.
Caramel Latte (MYR 11)
Some coffee to
accompany the meal; Caramel Latte. It
tasted great, aromatic with a hint of caramel sweetness. Just that they might
want to work more on the latte art part.
Green Goodness (MYR 12)
Or you could opt
a healthy glass of Green Goodnesss. A blended beverage using apple and celery.
I guess that
pretty much summarized up our scrumptious hang out at this little cutesy-named
place. You guys too could head over for a try or two and the eatery could be
located as below.
Till then, have a
great and restful day! Perhaps later might come up with some sharing on hawkers
food in Penang , hehe : )
